Target 10% off gift card?

I had trouble getting the 10% to show up on a second online transaction, even though my first transaction was only for $100. Because I had multiple $100 MasterCard gift cards, I couldn't purchase the $300 all at once. I was finally able to do my second transaction with my son's login and a third as a guest.

I ended heading to Target at about 5:30am and no one was there. All the cashiers were just standing there waiting for customers. I asked one cashiers about the 10% off and she hadn't heard of it. I showed her that ad and she agreed that it was a great deal and thanked for me letting her know. She checked with a lead who confirmed that any of the Target cards were eligible. There was no signage anywhere. I didn't think to ask about any restrictions. I browsed through the empty store until 6:00am before checking out with no problems.
 
Shopkick gave us over 2,000 points yesterday, and today promises to be even better. :cool1:

I got about 1,500 at Walmart this morning. 200 at Target, 200 at Aerie, 150 at TRU. Pretty successful morning : )

I did a few stores last night on my way home from dinner but it was crazy.
 
Ok, I'm getting nervous. My gift cards hadn't come through in my email yet. Has about 45 min left until the 4 hr window they said it was going to be delivered. What if I typed email address wrong by mistake? It has the transactions pending on my cc already, but no gift cards emailed

This is me too. I ordered $300 a couple hours ago and haven't received an email confirmation but the charge is pending on my Discover card. I placed a second order under DH's account and he got the email right away.

Wonder if there is a delay since those gift cards are not usable till tomorrow. Do you have a Target online acct you can check there to make sure you gave the right email.
 
I ordered mine at 7am ET to be sent to my home. I have not gotten an e-mail confirmation so I called Target.com at 1-800-591-3869 to get an order number. Once I got that I went to Target.com and did a "track my order" and it showed up there.
 
Went to Target to get the 10 percent off gift card discount this morning. I gave each of my kids $270 cash to get a card, and I purchased one as well. They cashed out and went to the car without me while I waited in line.
When I handed the cashier $270, she gave me back $30 cash. I told her she does not owe me money so I didn't accept it. She told me again that she owes me money because there is a 10% off discount. I told her that is why I gave her $270 and not $300. She showed me the receipt and I noticed that the card gave an automatic discount then she took off $30 for the card as a generic coupon. I told her she had given me a double discount. She said that is the way she was told to do it. I did not want to leave with the $30 because I was afraid Target would see the problem later and void the card....that and guilt. She eventually had a manager come to the register and he told her she was doing it wrong. She said that's the way she has been doing it all day. I go to the car and my kids had been given change as well. We took the money back into Target and the manager said "just keep it" in a very annoyed voice. I said "thank you" then bought another $100 gift card with the change.

Target needs to train their people better. You did the right thing. It stinks you were inconvenienced by this. Imagine how many dishonest and/or oblivious people she pixie dusted.
 
Question for those who bought the deal..

I bought two deals (one in my husbands name and one in mine) as Christmas gifts. Our oldest is taking her family on a Disney cruise this winter so I'm giving them $250 in Disney gift cards. I'm giving another friend the same for her WDW trip in January.

How does the send to my phone work? I chose the phone option for one order and email for the second. I plan on going tomorrow to redeem all the GCs for Disney GCs but I've never done the phone thing before.

I'm sure it's easy, but what should I expect?

You just upload it. Its straight forward and the instructions included with your "notification" are easy. If you are using the GC in store, you will need to do this so the cashier can scan the code from your phone.

I purchased right at 6am CST and received both my certificates ($100 and $200) at about 8:30am CST.
 
I got all buy 2 of my emails with cards. I am thinking they are running credit card address with names/credit cards and the other 2 might not go through
 
My order got cancelled! :-(
I had 4 previous transactions and most have been 'shipped'. This was the last one that got cancelled. Maybe the creditcard company flagged the transactions

All for Target GC's with the 10% deal? Target likely internally flagged it and cancelled your last transaction- not your bank... since they clearly note in the fine print that only a maximum of $300 per person can be purchased, so if the same payment method flagged in their system, it would reject the order.
 
My cashier was surprised by the 10% savings I just smiled and nodded, lol.
