Target 10% off gift card?

I just wanted to report that the Red Card extra 5% off when ordering online with the gift cards may not always work. I ordered items online today with the gift card and did not get the extra 5% off. I did not order gift cards either, rather a go pro camera. I'm not going to complain though because I still saved 10% on the camera and I saved an additional 2.5% thru ebates plus I got a free gift card back. My order total did not exceed the amount on the card which may have been part of the problem.

Make sure your Red Card is still set up as your default payment. Sometimes that info just disappears .

Thanks to everyone for sharing this deal. It worked perfectly for me. I ordered $300 in Disney GCs this morning and still have $15 left on the Target GC. So $45 saved!!!

Did it state that you have $15 balance before you submitted the order?

It was. I'm not sure what happened. It may be that I used multiple gift cards. The one I bought yesterday plus three that I got as rewards for buying things like toilet paper.

Ordered cards yesterday and got extra 5% off without an issue. Today the system is not applying the Red Card discount and instead wants to give me $10 in Target gift cards for purchasing 8 $50 cards. Ugh!

I got all 8 orders of 400$ gift cards, shipped confirm this AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the extra 5% off on all, saving 520$ (I went to the store with my phone 1s)

I was able to succeed on 3600$ total! between friends and family and credit card/email account!

eta-Figured it out, appears to be $5 for every $200 ordered. It's not giving me the extra 5% either. It did and then it glitched or something wiping out my cart and now it's not. Wonder if the website is just glitching.

edited again- got it to go through by selecting my red card as payment and clicking continue then going back and changing it to gift card. Saying $5 gift card back on 4 P&G items?

Almost every other retailer sends an e-mail almost immediately thanking you for your purchase. Does Target do this? I haven't ordered from them in ages. Just wondering if I need to call.

Man wish I had waited til today - the website is now working for 5% off AND they are giving Target gift cards for purchases. I could have had an extra $40 in Target gift cards using this method!

I have always gotten email confirmations from Target, including the GCs that I purchased on Friday.

You can check the status of your order by logging into your Target .com account.

How are you guys seeing/getting the $5 Target gift cards? I tested putting 8 x $50 gift cards in my basket and it's only taking the 5% off for Red card default and not any Target gift cards as bonus?

Thank you for confirming It sounds like it might be a glitch but I think it was last year that Target did do a promo where if you spent $150(?) you got a $10 gift card. I remember I ordered several batches of Disney gift cards then so I was thinking this might have been the same type of promo. Still might be coming, who knows!
