Did anyone see TAPS last week at the Mount Washington REsort in Bretton Woods NH? What did you think of the evp? Do you think they faked it? Really it was so scary b/c they even had the old fashioned NH accent. All I could think of was the movie The Others with Nicole Kidman.

I don't think TAPS faked anything. They are all about debunking claims not trying to make things work to say the place is haunted. Plus I have a hige crush on Grant.:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

I love Ghosthunters and I did see the episode. All I can say is that is one creepy resort. The only other one that is even creepier is the hotel in Colorado where Stephen King visited and was inspired to write The Shining. I see that TAPS will be headed that way (a rerun maybe???) on an upcoming episode. I'm looking forward to that one too.

Do I think the EVP was faked--nah, if they were into trickery, they would find many more "haunted" locations than not. On Ghosthunters, at least from my point of view, there are very few investigations that ultimately result in the TAPS crew believing the location is actually haunted. That truly was chilling though wasn't it? :scared1:

I don't think they faked it, that's not their style. But totally cool evp though.

It was creepy especially with the dialect. I don't think they faked it. I've sat through too many episodes where not much happens to think they faked that.

I didn't see the show (never watched the show actually), but I know I've read stories somewhere about that hotel being haunted.

Of course I'm here, where are you?

But here is my question - she says *where* are you, right? Why can't she see them?

I love TAPS and I especially loved that episode because my DH, DD, DM and I will be having lunch there in a month!!! :scared1:

Of course, we won't be going into the Princess room, but I know that there is no way that I would be able to sleep in that room! To freaky.

There are alot of different theories out about 'hauntings' and what is actually happening. This one sounds like an intelligent haunting. Here is a summary of what that is.

Intelligent hauntings are those in which the ghost interacts with the present. It is intelligent, in that it may communicate with those on the earthly plane. The disembodied person has elected for some reason to stay or maybe just visit the physical world, due to a connection with a person, place or thing. Intelligent hauntings may also occur due to a spirit's
compelling need to deliver a message from the other side of the grave, or to watch over loved ones. In addition, it is also plausible that intelligent hauntings occur due to attachments the ghostly person feels through memories, trauma, tragedy or any other emotional tie

How cool was that?!

I wasn't expecting much by the teasers they kept showing. Almost everytime they catch an EVP, I can't hear what they're hearing. I can hear something, but the words, to me, are pretty much indistinguishable. Or I'll thnk I heard something totally different.

But that one? Impressive! How cool if it IS real?!

I must say that I missed the ep, but that I do love visiting Bretton Woods. They're only about an hour/45 minutes from where I live so I get up there often enough. I'll have to try to catch it on re-runs now!

The hotels name is the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. They will actually be returning there for their halloween live episode I believe.

As for the EVP, there is a lot of discussion on it over at the official TAPS website. I trust that TAPS would not doctor or fake any of their evidence as they seem to be one of the few groups out there with some honor. Plus, as a PP said, if they faked anything they would find more places as being haunted, just like on some other shows.

The EVP seems to show an intelligent haunting in the fact that it is responding to cues and questions from the team and attempting to get their attention. However, many of the original claims seemed to coincide with a residual haunting so it may actually be a mix of the two. There is so much still unknown in the study of the paranormal that it is really hard to say for sure. However, I do believe they caught some unpresidented EVPs on this investigation and I do hope they will be heading back soon.

What are they saying over on the TAPS boards? Have they found any 'proof' that it was faked or altered with?

TAPS will be back at Mount Washington Hotel at the end of August. They are doing a weekend there along with other speakers (the guy from UFO Hunters will be there). You can purchase tickets for the weekend and one of the things you get to do is participate in a ghost hunt with them in the hotel!! :woohoo:

I would love to go, but at $385 a pop, plus the cost of hotel and food it's more then we will have to throw around at that time. :sad1:

The EVP was amazing but the week before with the flashlight WOW How freaky was that??

I am originally from an area near Wright-Pat AFB. We took the kids several years ago for a tourist visit. I have to admit that there are areas of the public domain that are equally creepy. . . :scared1:

For the same reason they can't see her. They exsist on different vibrational planes; like two different radio frequencies that only slightly overlap.

Nope I don't think they faked it at all! I believe 100 percent that paranormal activity both residual and intelligent exsist. I love TAPS. Although impossible I wish it lasted all year! I want them to go to New Orleans so badly!

I believe they have been to New Orleans
