At WS at EPCOT. Someone else was referring to this and thinking how many good times we had watching this. I think it went under a couple revisions. At one time was it called the Milennium Parade? Maybe it was also Tapestry of: something else? I think we always referred to it as the way-la song parade.
I recall they ran a 630p and a 810p which worked out well to get a good spot for this and turn around to catch Illuminations at 9p.
I know they extended the show a year or so past when they intended but wished they kept it kind of not the same there without it.
I heard it went off to Brasil or some place to celebrate Carnivale?

It started out as "Tapestry of Dreams" for the millenium celebration. We are very frequent park visitors. Then it turned into "Tapestry of Nations" with the clock and other floats taken out. We couldn't wait for the darn thing to end. I geuss cause we were always in World Showcase at the time the parade was going to start. I'm happy you enjoyed it though.

i do recall that part of that since they had at least two parades running at same time around the World Showcase. You were basically staying put once the parade started.

You are exactly right. They had 2 parades, each going half way around World Showase.

We saw Tapestry of Dreams in 2000. It is my least favorite of the disney parades I've seen. They don't need to bring it back for me.

They changed it to "Tapestry of Nations" around 2002. It isn't coming back, thank goodness!

I guess we're in the minority. We saw it in 2002 and everyone in our family (then ages 6, 9, 10, 41 and 41) LOVED it. We bought the soundtrack - even our two teenage DDs play it now when they need an EPCOT fix.

My wife, especially, loved that parade, more than anything else at WDW. However, time moves on (as was the point of the parade, actually), and so we take in stride that it's now just a very happy memory. There'll be more wonderful things at WDW in the future -- don't worry.

I still say we need to coordinate and all meet at epcot wearing lime green and parade around the WS with the music blasting ans signs demanding the return of this parade.

Tell me when and where and we will be there! Our family LOVED Tapestry!

I LOVED this parade! Before this, I was a parade-hater, in general. This one turned me on to liking parades and was my all time favorite! My brother felt the same way - he was a parade-hater, too, and when he was going to WDW with his family, I told him, Look, I hate parades, but I love this parade. You have to see this one!" He agreed!! We miss it!

We will miss this parade next week. We always enjoyed the parade and the music. Epcot needs it back badly.

Although I liked this parade, I wish it were only once a night if it were brought back. I love walking around WS after dark, and the parade made it so difficult to get around and not at all relaxing just to stroll. I'll bet sales went down in the shops when there were 2 parades a night.

What a great parade it was....which it was still going! From our computers to Disney exec's ears.....MAKE IT COME BACK!!!!

I'll join you. My sister and I loved this parade and watched on 2 different nights of our stay. I think it was awesome.

I liked the music, my fave of any parade ever, but I did hate being trapped once the parade started. At least, you were trapped unless you knew the parade very well and how to get around it! I really liked the narration when it was Tapestry of Dreams. When they changed it to Tapestry of Nations I was really bummed that they got rid of the narration at the beginning.

Loved Tapestry, music from parade is good walking music on the iPod.

When it first started were there ever 3 parades which came out, or was it always two?

Phrank

It actually started as the Tapestry of Nations parade for the Millenium Celebration.

After that celebration ended, they reworked the music a bit and changed the theme and it became the Tapestry of Dreams parade.

They had a star-like thing at the Kidcot stations that kids could color and a punch-out piece in the middle they could write their dream on. During the parade, they had some CM's in costumes who were the DreamCatchers (? I think...) who had big nets and then the kids could drop their "dream" into the net.

I personally preferred the TON parade with the narration that accompanied it over the TOD parade. But now that's they have neither, I'd happily take either one!

Beautiful music. Fantastic costumes. I found the soundtrack on eBay -- I think it was a giveaway CD people got buying Energizer batteries.
