Does anyone remember this parade? Personally, from my 10 trips to WDW, I thought it was one of the most enchanting things. I don't know if it was the music or the excellent puppeteers or whatever...but I really loved it and it brought one of "those" Disney smiles (I know you all know what I'm talking about). I heard that some of the reasons they took it out were because people thought it "got in the way" of trying to get through the countries and it was too crowded and since there was no shade to watch it under, it was too hott...that just seems like petty complaining to me...but obviously it was enough guests to get rid of it. :sad1: Did anyone else love this parade like me and wish they would bring it back?

well i always wanted to watch it but my parents said it was a waste of time and now it's to late :sad2: well atleast it's WDW so that will cheer me up

I loved that parade too. I thought it was really interesting and even though it was crowded, I still loved it. I would also really like for them to bring it back.

There were a few reasons that the parade isn't there anymore. One reason is that it was a logistics nightmare, it was very hard for the parade to run right especially with the crowd control problems. Another reason dealt with weather, a small wind could easily cancel the parade. And what I think the main reason is that the puppets were very heavy. Many of the performers started to have back problems. This is why the parade isn't running anymore. There are rumors though of a new parade for Epcots 25th.

When is that? And as long as it's not like SOME of the silly parades they have in a couple other parks... :rolleyes1 not mentioning any names...not all of them...just some...

And yes...I can DEF see the back problems being an issue...those were HUGE!

Still...I can't help but stand my ground on the selfish fact that I miss it. :guilty:

I remember that! I always thought the puppets were a little weird, but it was a really cool idea and I'm sad that they don't have it anymore!

Though I never saw the parade, I listened to it and the music makes me think of Disney entirely...as you say, puts that Disney smile on my face lol. I think it is enough proof of my answer here when I say I bought the piano music to it! :rotfl2:

It wasn't my favorite parade but I liked it. It was my moms though!!! I liked the music!!

This was my all-time FAVORITE parade!!!! The music, the puppets, the message.......the one thing I love about this parade as well as Illuminations, is when I watch it around World Showcase, it gives such a feeling of global unity, which is amazing. :goodvibes

Anyway, I REALLY miss this parade.....but the original Tapestry of Nations, not the Tapestry of Dreams, which IMO is merely a shadow of the original. I have both soundtracks, seen both parades, and I definitely liked Nations a whole lot better than Dreams. I always get nostalgic when the old parade music comes on after Illuminations! :guilty:

this was my favorite parade at WDW and it will be forever. I loved the soundtrack to it, and i loved it so much i bought the soundtrack and listen to it every now and then. Wow, bringing back some memories Ash ;) lol

It was my favorite parapde, but we only saw it once or twice.

I LOVED this parade!!! We always seemed to be in world showcase whenever it was going on, so I saw it like 10 times!!!! I loved all of the puppets and the music and I was really sad when I found out they didn't run it anymore. :guilty:

im in love with it. it was and still is my favorite. it was so creative with the whole "share your dreams" thing with the dream seekers and stuff. i was almost in tears when i found out they took it away. i still have the music and im always listening to it. im still glad that if you listen to the music they play in epcot after 'promise' they'll play the music to tapestry of dreams. *sigh* i missss itttt!
