Tapestry at Kidani-they got our info wrong!

Well, I eagerly went to the library at Kidani yesterday ( we were staying at Jambo House concierge so it was nearby) to see our family's name on the tapestry since we bought enough points to qualify to be a founding member. Instead of ____ Family, which is what I'd written on the card request that we received asking how we wanted our names written, I saw our last name, then the first name of my oldest daughter!!!! The membership is not in her name and I'm not even sure how they got it!! I'm so disappointed. What would you do?---Kathy

I would be disappointed too. I am sure you were excited about seeing your name up there. Is there anything you can do? Did you notify someone regardless just for a FYI? I wonder if it happened to anyone else.

At least it's in your daughter's name and not some other random name that would not belong to your family. Perhaps it was just wrong and it happens to be your daughter's name :confused3

OH NO!!! I can't even imagine how disappointed you are. I'd start by making a couple of phone calls just to verify that the mistake had been made, and that you perhaps didn't overlook your family name somewhere farther down on teh tapestry. Just alert Disney to what happened and see what their response is - they are in the business of making magic, so you never know... GOOD LUCK!! :hug:

Ouch... I would let Disney know about the error. What was the wording on the necklace that you received? Disney had a lot of problems with this promotion and IMHO didn't do a very good job with implementation or verifying our information.

You might as well make the best of it. Tell your daughter that her fame is worth 3 years of presents. :goodvibes
 

could it have been another family who has the same name?

Well, on my day off this week I'll call my guide and ask if it can be fixed, or if we just have to live with it. We have a very unusual last name and so I know it's a mistake vs. it possibly belonging to another guest. I just thought it a really bad mistake since I got the paperwork asking what we wanted inscribed on the tapestry and my daughter is not even an owner. I never got the necklace either, and we purchased enough points to qualify. From a friend who received the framed necklace, it was beautiful.---Kathy
