Great updates! I love all your pictures with the princesses. The time we went on DCL dd wasn't really into characters yet so we didn't see any princesses -- I don't think I even realized they appeared onboard at the time .

I love the first pic of the kids beside the tree...isn't it funny how fast they can change their pose. That one is priceless though!

I hope that you are able to get something figured out about your at-home reception. I'm sure that your family is putting a lot of pressure on you, but hopefully you will be able to figure out a way to get what you want and still keep everyone happy!!

Sorry for the family stress.....tell them if they want a ceremony, then one of them can do a VR! You did yours and it was magical and perfect and there is no need to duplicate it!

The princess pictures are adorable! I love Mackenzie's outfit!! We didn't see any characters while we were on board...i have no idea what we were doing.

Sorry it was so cold during your MK shoot! I was really worried about that too. I hope you get some good shots from it!

The kids love the characters and we always spend more time with them than doing anything else. It can get frustrating when we are in the parks.

DH and I are trying to figure out a way to make everyone happy. Last night we talked about possibly doing a rose exchange.

Thanks for the hugs. I get so frustrated b/c if the VR was really that important to them, then they should have come with us on the ship. The frustrating thing is that the members of Dan's family that really wanted to go couldn't afford to go, and the members of both of our families who could afford it - chose not to go.

We didn't see as many of the characters as I would have liked. We totally missed Capt. Jack Sparrow, but we were also a little busy - as I'm sure you were too.

i love the new pics- and the preview pics- i never go into the dcl forum so i never would of seen them.

So after the characters, we went back to the room and watched more cartoons! The kids loved the old Disney toons that were on. We all lounged around for a while and I put together our FE gifts. I wrote an invitation to our VR on the dry erase boards and hung these on all the DISers' doors. Doing the FE was super fun. I highly recommend it to anyone going on the cruise.

For the rest of the morning, I walked around the ship delivering the invites and gifts, and most of the other DISers were doing the same. So I got to meet a lot of nice people and had fun delivering gifts with them. I also got to see some of the other category staterooms on the ship. I totally want my own balcony whenever we go back, but I worry about the kids. I may just have to settle for a porthole. They looked like fun.

Now it was getting close to lunch time!!! We took the kids to the kids club and went up on top to get some lunch and see the Bahamas.

We get up top and it is breathtakingly beautiful! I completely forgot how blue the water is. It is my favorite color in the whole world. I love the Carribean blue.

Everyone LOOOVED Mackenzie's outfit. Her Nana sews and has a Disney embroidery machine, so the kids get all these cool clothes. If you look closely at Drew's shirt, there is a Pluto on there. Somehow I can never seem to get her to make any for me or Dan.

Cindy loved the castle on her butt! And kept laughing about it.

Do you see all those flags waving at attention in that pic up there? It was incredibly windy. (always wanted to use that smilie) Wind + short floaty dress = several very embarrassing moments! It's like Marilyn Monroe but without the glamour. And of course DH thought that this was funny, and instead of trying to help me, he's video taping me fighting to pull my skirt back down and tuck it inbetween my legs. Thanks honey! I love you too!

This was as close as we got to Nassau! We've been there before and did Atlantis and the straw market and such. We decided to have fun taking pictures around the ship while everyone else was off.

I didn't realize how many people can look down on us! I thought it was a little more secluded for some reason. I don't know how I had been on the boat this long and didn't go look at it before.

Here is another crew member cleaning the windows of the ship. Dan was so impressed that he took a picture of him and he posed for the camera. Or he may have just been telling me that he like the color underwear I just flashed at him.

At least we have beautiful blue skies and a gorgeous weather for the day.

I have a ton of beautiful pics of the water and such that we took in RAW format. But I never have time to edit my own pictures since I am always working on everyone elses. Whenever I have the chance, I'll have to convert them into jpeg format.

Anywho...seeing them clean the deck got us both really excited. We ate some yummy wraps for lunch - we didn't want anything too heavy and we went back to our room for some alone time and to get ready!!!

Getting Ready​

Just to show what dorks we are - I have to post some of these shots. My whole family is composed of serious clutzes! It is difficult to make us all look good. There are more that are even worse - like me teasing my hair in an effort to fix it and Dan took a picture of me trying to figure out how to sit on the toilet once my dress was on. But I will spare you. For your own sake, I am warning you to keep all drinks away from the computer.

We looked really awful after getting so windblown. Then Dan brought some funky razor he had never used before to shave. Here is the end result of that:

Then - I had the worst fight with my hair. I usually have really good hair that holds curls and volume and such. It is easy to fix. BUT on all days for me to have issues, it was this day. The ship is super humid and moist and it is like breathing water into your lungs. I am from SW FL and I am used to heat and humidity, but this was just down right rediculous! It was so moist that the "permanent" curls on my hair extensions were falling out. I would tease my hair up and it would just become a squirell's nest. Even my DH was stressed watching me fight with it. I eventually had to just stick in a ton of bobby pins and leave some where they could be seen. I also had to put 2 clips in to hold it. I figured once up on deck, it would be so windy that no one would notice.

aww- my grandmother was like that for me when i was young. now i own her sewing machine and it sits in a corner! lol

ill have to go back and really look at his shirt- was on my netbook with tiny screen, now im on the big bad computer! lol

all the pics look so amazing! i love that blue too! and i really really like the shoe and accessory ones too. im no photog- altho id love to be but i did some of those shots for my best friends wedding in september. they came out nice for an amature!

Ebay!! My favorite place to shop. It came from China in a pack of 3 barrettes - a flower, dolphin, and mickey for .99! I'll have to look to see if I still have the seller info.
