Hi! I sure hope I am doing this right. If not please forgive me. I am so new to this board.

My name is Elisa Creed and my husband is Jerry Creed. Our 13 yr old son Tanner was diagnosed at age 12 with Wilm's tumor (kidney cancer that usually effects babies to 5 yr olds). He was diagnosed on Dec. 8, 2008 and we went to K.C. Missouri and saw Dr. DeMarco at Children's Mercy on Dec. 11th and was scheduled for surgery on Dec. 15th for a right radical nephrectomy. We then had to wait until after the holidays to see what his treatment would require. He had a Stage II FH Wilm's tumor. He did have partial LOH. He will get his last treatment on June 4th. For his MAW trip he chose Disney as it is some place our family has wanted to go for yrs but he knew that we likely would never be able to afford to take our whole family, so he chose this so we could have a family vacation. Tanner has 4 sisters. Amber age 14 (almost 15), Allyson or we call her "Ally" age 6, Emily age 6, and Natalyn age 3. Tanner is a very giving child. Whenever he has something he shares with everyone. His sisters dreams are to meet Cinderella (Ally b/c she has the blonde hair) and Snow White (Emily has dark hair and yes Emily and Ally are twins)!!! So, this is his way of giving again!

I failed to mention that a couple of yrs before Tanner was diagnosed with Wilm's he was diagnosed with Spondyloarthropathy and Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis. His sister Emily has epilepsy as does my husband. Amber has mitral valve prolapse. The rest of the gang is fine and healthy.

We will arrive in Fl on July 13 at 11:45 approximately.

If anyone can give us some pointers as to what we should for sure take in and what is the best time, etc. We are hoping to get in WDW, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Gatorland, and of course spend some time at GKTW and the beach. I know we may not be able to fit it all in but would like to know the best way to get as much in as possible but still having fun and not feeling rushed as this is our vacation which since amber and tanner were little we have not been on one. We are very excited and can't wait for July 13th to get here!!!

Thank you for Kansas,
Elisa Creed

I would do a search on MAW Trip Reports so you can read what others have done or perhaps in the Disabilities forum....

Can you let us know more about your trip...

How long are you there for?
I kinda know you stay at a resort offsite..will you have your own car or is transportation set up through the resort?
Are you on your own in the parks or does the MAW group set up some special meet and greets with characters etc......?

I'm here to help you out if I can...........:thumbsup2
