I'm wondering which would actually be cooler. I am going to Disney this July, and am starting to think about what I will be wearing. Do you all think tank tops are the way to go, or do you think a short sleeve top would be better? I will wear a ton of sunblock either way. But I'm wondering if I should show my flabby arms to the world too.:rotfl2:

What do you think?:confused3

I always go in July and wear tanks. However, rember when you are inside anywhere the air is on so it can get cool.

I think both are do-able. I take in account the weight and color of the shirt more then the length of the sleeves. You want something loose and not to clingy. :thumbsup2

(copied from another post)

I have stopped wearing tank tops at Disney. More than once I got a real wicked sunburn. Next day, while wearing a different tank top, I (and everyone else) could see the outline of yesterday's wear burned into my shoulders.

Particularly after you have developed a decent tan, bare skin absorbs more heat than a white shirt. Put sunscreen on your shoulders anyway, a white shirt doesn't have all that much ultraviolet blocking (SPF factor).

100% percent lightweight cotton tanks or Tee's. Please choose a light color, I see people walking around with black T-shirts on looking very uncomfortable. Bring an extra one with you. SUNSCREEN!! reapply often.
Have fun!:cool2:

I wear t-shirts now with cap sleeves. I used to wear tank tops and I had too many pics of a bra strap showing!

Wear which ever is most comfortable for you. I prefer tank tops as I hate having a sweaty underarm area of a shirt. Don't worry about flabby arms, once you get to WDW take a look around. I always kid my husband that we are moving there because sitting around the pool I feel like a Victoria's Secret model ;-)

I like the looseness of a light tshirt. I don't wear tank tops EVER so the choice is easier for me, I suppose. Plus when you get a breeze, there's something nice about that air being able to flow through the arms of your tshirt. The indoor attractions stay pretty cool and when I exit them, I find myself happy for the Florida warmth... for about 2 seconds.

I'm more comfortable in tshirts. Do what's comfortable and coolest for you.

What about dry fit shirts? I have 3 Nike tshirt ones and a couple tanks of them. Keeps me pretty cool when I'm out and about in the summer as it wicks the sweat away and they're really lightweight. I get mine at Dick's Sporting Goods, but you can get them other places, too.

I just got some tank tops with SPF 50. They are supposed to keep me cooler. Hope they work. LOL I also got one Columbia omni shade shirt. It is long sleeves and you can roll the sleeves up. It is also supposed to keep me cooler. I guess I will have to wait and see if it works. LOL

I never wear tank tops, just for that reason, but when we go to Disney, that is the only thing I ever wear.

We are outside for 12+ hours in the heat and humidity; I don't care about what people think of my arms! Well, okay, I do, but my comfort is worth it.

3 days!

I'm all tank tops all the time! I don't I even brought a tshirt my past couple trips in September.

I never wear tanks, except at disney!!! I think others are more interested in what they are doing there than to notice my flab......and everyone else's!

I wear Tanks in the summer at Disney but in my backpack, I brink a light colored cotton button up shirt to throw on if I feel I'm getting too much sun or we are in the AC for too long and I get cold. Just wear tons of SPF 55 and reapply every hour or so because without you realizing it, it will wear off or sweat off. Don't worry about your arms. I'm self conscious but after going to the beach last weekend I can honestly say, that very few people have perfect bodies (I think I read once that less than 1% of people are actually super-model worthy in looks and body). It's hot, I'm going to be comfortable!

I mainly wear 100% cotton sleeveless tees/polos (more coverage than a tank, but still cooler than a tee) in light colors with LOTS of sunscreen.

Y'all are so brave and inspiring to let your flabby arms show at WDW! :cheer2: My issue is that my upper arems are not only flabby, but after years of hiding them they are WHITE and flabby!!! :lmao:

Should I take the plunge too???! I think I'm gonna do it! Its easier to take a stand at WDW where no one knows me, except my family. They are stuck with my flabby arms and love me anyway. I'll do what prev poster suggested and bring a shirt in case of air conditioning and on the off chance I see someone I know! Last year we saw my husband's dentist.

Do it! My kids make fun of my flabby arms...that's how flabby they are. And belive me, since the only time I wear tank tops is once a year, at Disney, (not to mention the fact that I have red hair)...my arms are also white!

Wearing a tank top is just so much cooler at Disney, in June, it's worth it.

When we go, I plan on taking tanks with me. I don't really care about my flabby arms...and my lovely children also remind me all the time about how flabby they are :rotfl2: but I want to be comfy :thumbsup2

I wouldn't wear a tank at home, so certainly don't at WDW;)It's my pleasure to shop the sales for beautiful cruise-wear tops...I'm particularly fond of the ones with "jeweled" necklines...Can't wait to wear my new duds beginning June 19th!:woohoo:

I love tanks. I wear them all the time (but, then, I love my arms). I don't think anyone will judge flabby or nonflabby arms at DW. Comfort is key. The days can not only be hot but also very long. Wear what makes you feel comfortable!
