Tangled Pin

What exactly is the "Tangled Pin"? Is it something you get with the movie or just another one of the pins you get via email or mail that is just called the Tangled Pin?

I got it - it was just an offer email from Disney Destinations with a picture of Rapunzel at the top. I got the $91 a night offer... sheesh...

My dh received tangled, but ours was different...2 choices a value of our choice for 91 or a hotwire type deal, you pay up front and we pick your hotel either value or mod. for 67, but no refunds. The hotwire option intrigues me, but we aren't going until Dec. and a lot could change before then.

Since $67 is a good deal for even a value, I would do it in a heartbeat and consider it gravy if I actually got a mod. That is a pretty cool deal. I think it would be more risky if they choose a price between a value and mod and then picked which one you got

I think that I would be okay doing that if it was only a moderate or only a value (at different prices). I like most of the moderates, but the *** and ASM are not my favorites so I would hate to get those. I'm holding out for a better discount!

I can't imagine this is the only discount they'll offer... We're a family of five - they can't really offer this to us, because they'd have to put us in a room at POR - that's the only resort, value or mod, that sleeps five. (excepting FW of course, but I don't think they're offering cabins at $67/night!)

Maybe they'll do another offer for either POR or a deluxe - they pick - for a certain price

I got it as well, it also says call to ask about other great rates at other (moderate, deluxe I'm assuming) resorts. I am waiting it out and hoping the Fall AP rates come out as I would really like to stay at the Yacht Club with a good discount, but $67 a night is IMO a great deal, even if I have to pay up front and the resort gets chosen for me. I prefer the Movies, but all the values are pretty similar.

We never really get our money worth out of free dining so this PIN for the value works best for us. Unfortuantly mine only had value and no choice of a moderate. I might ask and see what kinda deal I could get if I upgraded. Unfortuantly when I called, ASMu is not avaliable under this PIN because it's booked. We just got back and had a terrible experience at POP and a few years ago I got food posioning from ASMo so we want to stay away from those two.

I don't have an expiration date on mine and I haven't called to ask.

For someone else, when I went to look at it closer, it does say that you can turn this "hotwire" deal into a package, and yes you have to pay the whole thing, and no you don't get any part of it back if you cancel the package. From the fine print:

Payment Procedures You will not be provided with a list of Resort hotels to choose from prior to payment. Immediately after booking and full payment, Disney will inform you of the name of the specific Walt Disney World® Resort hotel and the room type booked. Full payment of the entire package is due to Walt Disney Travel Co., Inc. (“Disney”) at time of booking. Receipt of travel documents by guest is proof of full payment and, therefore, no other confirmation of receipt of full payment will be sent.
Cancellation, Changes and Refunds Prior to Guest Arrival
The reservation is non-refundable (except for vacation insurance cancelled within 14 days of booking as specifically provided below), non-cancellable, non-transferable and non-changeable. Cancellation fee is equal to the entire reservation amount. Credit will not be given for unused reservations and cannot be used toward the purchase of any future reservations. All airline tickets included in this package are non-refundable. The cancellation fee is equal to the entire ticket price and cancellation and any credits that may be issued by the airline are subject to the applicable airline’s policies. Land portions of the reservation cannot be canceled without also canceling the air portion of the reservation booked through Disney. Vacation insurance is nonrefundable if not canceled within 14 days after booking reservation. For reservations made 14 days or less prior to guest arrival, vacation insurance is nonrefundable if not canceled at least one day prior to guest arrival. Changes, including but not limited to, changes to type of package and package components, the Resort hotel, room type, name on the reservation or travel dates, are not allowed.

I received a tangled pin but my offer was for $79 and $91. I wonder why mine was more? It doesn't really matter because it is for value only and we are a family of 5 which means we can't stay at a value. Disappointing but hoping to get another one soon.

That woudl fit with last years timetable. That's right about the time FD was extended till December.


I was thinking this was an awesome deal until I thought about the disparity of the rooms... I mean I'm sure there wouldn't be any hope of getting a newly refurbished room at ASMu. They probably are trying to fill the least popular resorts/areas.

I thought the same thing. I definitely want Pop Century. My hopes are on free dining.
