Tangled Pin

Values for $91 Sunday thru Thursday 10-10 - 11-18 and 11-26 - 12-22. I used it and it saved us $4 per night. Not what I was wanting, but something is better than nothing. :cutie:

My dh received tangled, but ours was different...2 choices a value of our choice for 91 or a hotwire type deal, you pay up front and we pick your hotel either value or mod. for 67, but no refunds. The hotwire option intrigues me, but we aren't going until Dec. and a lot could change before then.

$67 for values non refundable oct 10-dec22 Sun thru Thurs...the other nightly rate was $91 with less "terms", FD works best for us, keeping that discount!

I was so excited for this pin when I saw it but then I read the fine print and the room discount was only like 5% if you didn't do the pay in full thing. But not having any options to switch around I didn't like that so we are going to hold out for Free Dining or a better room discount! :)

I got it too, but of course really doesn't help me much for my dates

You pay in full up front and Disney picks either a Value or Moderate for you? This is very interesting!! I have never known Disney to do anything like this. Anymore details on this option?
Doesn't apply to us as we aren't going back until May of 2012 but still very interesting!! ;)

Thanks!
Carla

Lower Price

Stay at our choice of a Disney Value or a select Disney Moderate Resort hotel for just

$ 67*
per night, plus tax!

With this special low rate:
• We choose the hotel and room type and you'll find out what it is after booking and paying in full
• Full payment is required at time of booking and payment is nonrefundable
• No cancellations or modifications are allowed after payment

Interesting....this is exactly the type of thing many of us were getting surveys about last fall.

Thanks for the info gigi1976, I am just shocked that Disney is doing this. I guess it makes perfect sense as a way to fill unfilled rooms and it is a wonderful price. I wonder how often Moderate rooms are given?
Does anyone know if you can you book a package using this method and if so, do you have to pay for its components or just the entire room portion at the time of booking?
I apologize for so many questions I'm just trying to take it all in!! :goodvibes

I remember reading a rumer? about in the future you would pay and Disney would pick your resort for you. I for one do not like it. If that ends up being the only way you get a discount in the future I guess I will be paying rack rate from now on. I want to pick where I am going to stay.

I think I'm with you on that sjs314, I'm too much of a control freak to allow Disney to choose for me!!!

Me too (or is that 3) If it was between POFQ or POR maybe, but none of the Values appeal to DH & I. Plus I want my boatride to DTD so that rules out the other Mods.

I got the PIN yesterday but mine is only for a value. $61 a night paid up front. I just called and my dates are avaliable so I GUESS IM GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!! WOO HOO!

I agree.

I don't like that "pay up front" terminology. I think they must be seeing a lot of people cancel vacations when specials don't come out. They want to get people locked in. I would not be happy to take a $67/night deal and then have free dining offered, which saves me a lot more.

What exactly is the "Tangled Pin"? Is it something you get with the movie or just another one of the pins you get via email or mail that is just called the Tangled Pin?

I received this PIN with the "gamble" offer or a value at $91/night. Ugh... I'm hoping this doesn't mean I won't get another PIN code this year! I was really hoping to take my DD to Disney one last time before she turned 18. :guilty: I've received much better PINs in the past....
