My almost 3 year old daughter is princess obsessed so we definitely want to do one of these when we go to Disneyland next Thursday (Nov 3rd). The only problem is every time I check the wait times at Mouse Wait they are anywhere from 45-65 minutes! Is there a "good" time to do either one?? Do they open when the park opens, or do they have different hours? Any tips or advice that would help make this go smoothly would be greatly appreciated, since we all know how much patience a 2 year old has!! :)

Thanks!

We found the longest wait was the Tangled M&G and I just let DD2 and DD5 read their Disney autograph books (we got the Junior encyclopedias from Amazon per DISBoard recommendations).

PFF doesn't open when the park opens--it opens an hour later. I sent DH over at 8:15 while we rode other rides, BUT he waited in the wrong place. A CM told him to wait by the stage area (there was a set of bollards there). The correct place to wait is the FAR RIGHT of the stage (closest to the train station) where there are another set of bollards. He was at the stage area with 2 other families behind him before someone finally told them they were in the wrong place. I was SO UPSET when I learned that 2 other families who showed up later than him went to the right place and no one said anything. I barely got the details when I rushed up with our 2 DDs at 8:55 am (we had taken the railroad around the park but DD5 got so terrified of the dinosaurs at the station by Tomorrowland that she begged to be let out so I had to RUN back holding DD2 and DD5 from the front of the park!).

When the CM came out at 9 am and asked who was first, the family who was behind DH at the stage area said, "He was!" (pointing at my DH). But the other 2 later families said, "NO, we were HERE first" and DH explained he arrived first but had been standing in the wrong area due to another CM who told him the wrong thing.

This poor CM, a young woman, was paralyzed and DH just said, "that's fine those 2 families can be first and we'll be third" as he didn't realize that the first family gets to walk back with the princesses.

So, long story short, if you can have someone wait before the 9 am opening, it's a nice treat to walk back with the princesses while everyone else in line gets shuttled to the real line when the bollards are moved.

Another way to meet a Princess >>>>>>

Between 10:00 and 3:00 Princesses spend time at the Castle side entrances and Carnation Plaza Gardens.
Each is out for about 20-25 minutes each hour. Often, with very few people.
They are hard to see when they get down to the level of small children and are missed.

Almost everyone uses the main drawbridge entrance to get into and out of Fantasyland.... Don't.
Use the side paths and you will probabbly meet a Princess or two.

Thank you for the tip! We'll be there next week, and would love to meet the princesses without the line. :)

We've found that with PFF in the fall, there is usually a fairly short line in the morning. We went on Sunday 10/23 and were in line about 10:00 and the wait was less than 30 minutes. I think the posted time said 25 and we waited maybe 20. We had a similar experience last year as well. This year we never did do the Tangled meet and greet. The line was 50+ minutes every time we walked by there. It wasn't a must do on our list though so I didn't try very hard to find a good time.

Again, use the side paths to the Castle. Here is Snow White, yesterday 10/31, she had been standing next to the wishing well, but no guests came by for a few minutes.
She went to the Bridge and waved but people still ignored her. She gave up and went to the Drawbridge exit where she was mobbed, and then had them follow her back to the wishing well..........

Poor lonely Princess.

Arial and Cinderella were busy with guests on the other side of the Castle at the time.

Thanks for these tips. We are princess lovers. I know it will be super crowded when we are there, but I think all these tips will really help us.

OMG, Snow White is my daughter's favorite! She would have been in heaven to have Snow White all to herself!

Thanks for the tip! We will be there on Thursday so I hope to find her there again! Do you know around what time she was there yesterday??

The princesses have also come out for photos and autographs on the Fantasyland stage floor after the coronation ceremonies. When I met Rapunzel last July, the wait time was listed at 30-40 mins, but was only about 10 minutes in reality. So take the estimated wait times with a grain of salt.
