We have eaten at Tangeriene Cafe 3 or 4 times and have enjoyed it every time. The most I can tell you is that couscous is a grain and what I've had was good. We usually get the lamb/chicken combo shwarma platter and enjoy everything on it.
The food here is really good. Cous Cous is somewhat similar to rice, but has a nuttier flavor. It is very small pearl shaped grains. It is quite tasty!
couscous is made from semolina wheat flour, it's a kind of pasta. it's cooked by steaming it. it's used like rice/pasta as a starch in a meal, often served with a stew on top.
Love, love, love this place!
The combo lamb/chicken shwarma platter was the best counter service meal I had my last trip. Even the baklava was amazing IMO!
I really like Tangerine Cafe. The food is much more unique and a lot healthier than most counter service meals. I usually get the vegetarian platter, which is delicious.
We loved this place!!! our kids actually loved it too and that's saying a lot. Very unique food, but excellent. Have you ever eaten a Gyro (Greek food)? The lamb is cut in thin strips and tastes very similar to that. We all loved it.
We usually get the chicken. It's really moist and tasty. Also, they normally let you get fries as a side dish even though the chicken already comes with side dishes. It was nice because our kids just ate the fries and a few pieces of our chicken. Definitely give it a whirl!
We love Tangierine Café! The chicken shwarma platter is huge, we always split it. Yes, I love that it's healthy, and delicious food. Love the sides. The roasted chicken comes with a yummy olive sauce, I always forget the name of it. I like the shwarma platter better and sometimes I can get the CM to add the olive sauce as a side for me. The meatballs are good too. And they have burgers for my picky kid -who BTW does love the hummus and pita.
Couscosu is rolled semolina flour like a pasta. In Morocco it is traditionally steamed over a stew of vegatables and meat. Then the stew is served on top of the couscous.

A Gyro is a pita like bread with thin slices of lamb inside. I don't believe they sell any in Disneyword--we can get them fast food where we live. The Tangeriene Cafe is the closest we came while in DW adn it was great.
weve eaten at tangerine cafe a few times, not the entertainment of marrakesh with the bellydancer but still good food. we like the couscous which is steamed semolina, lamb, skewers, baklava, etc.
