Ok my family aren't very adventurous eaters but I was wondering about the lamb/chicken platter. What does lamb taste like? I also noticed it looks like they pour a sauce over it what does it taste like. Any reviews or opinions are welcome. I want to try some new things on the next trip

Here's what it looks like, but I have a real hard time describing what it tastes like:

I know DH says it reminds him of a Gyro, but that's kind of unusual, too.

We very much enjoyed the T. Cafe. We each got a sandwich-mine was chicken, dh was lamb, and then traded 1/2. What a treat! There is a lentil salad-very nice, not spicy, and a cous-cous salad-a small grain, with a bit of light dressing and some veggies.

Their food is not heavy, and it tastes delicious. What does lamb taste like? It's not a heavy meat, and it's sliced thinly, little hard to describe, but I like it a lot.

Sauce? It's much like what you get with greek or turkish food. It's light, and has a smooth, not heavy taste.

Ahhh, The lamb & chicken Shawarma Platter is absolutely delish! Not sure how to put the taste of lamb into words...the lamb & chicken at the TG is very mild and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Another poster said it was similar to a gyro-which is a good comparison. The sauce is a tzatziki sauce-yougurt, cucumbers and very light seasoning-not heavy, just refreshing. I love making tzatziki sauce when I cook lamb at home-a perfect combo! The sides (hummus, tabbouleh and couscous salad) are wonderful, too! I say go for it!

Oh, one more thing! If you get the Shawarma platter, ask for the Moroccan flat bread in place of the roll.

The lamb platter is one of the best. I am greek and am very picky about the foods that i eat. the lamb taste like gyro meat and the sauce is not as heavy and garlicy as a tzatziki saucce. You will enjoy it

It looks great except the couscous. Can you get rice instead?
