How big are the portions at Tangierine Café in Morocco ? Is it big enough to be shareable ?

The platters are large enough to share. My DH, DS (8), and I have shared a Shawarma Platter with the lamb and chicken more than once. It depends on how big your appetite is. Since it's counter service, it's easy to order more food if necessary.

I thought they were really large - we split 2 platters between 3 of us (adults) and left food behind.

And I agree, since it's counter service, it's easy to grab something else to eat. Plus we are big suckers for treats about WS and often have nibbled on the way to lunch =)

If you are on the dining plan, this place is a GREAT value since it's counter service. DH and I split the platter....it had chicken and lamb, as well as some sides. The cost was about $13 for the entree, counted towards just ONE counter service credit. I figured we would have been restricted from that since it was quite a bit more expensive than the other stuff. It was VERY yummy.

Considering the World Showcase is a collection of stores and restaurants I would recommend sharing. Their typical prices here are around $9-$14 for an entree. I would recommend sharing one allowing you to also enjoy little items from all the other food/drink stands you will encounter as you pass from country to country. Food is an essential part to any celebration and we have always found this approach heightened our experience at Epcot.

There are some photos of the platters from Tangierine Cafe on the food porn thread, which is a sticky thread at the top of this forum. I'm not sure which pages have those photos, though. I didn't get the impression that they were big enough for two to share, but they did look big enough for three people to share two platters.

That depend on how much you usually eat. Two adults could share one for a light meal if they are average eaters.

DH is a big eater - I'm average. We shared the lamb and chicken platter and were quite satisfied with the amount of food we each got. We're planning on going there for lunch each time we go to WDW whether on the dining plan or not.

This is by far my FAV restaurant on site...We usually share a platter and have dessert at another country a few hours later...Very nice. :thumbsup2

Hello, Just a French word... the portions are immense when one compares has France in general. I have a photograph of the dish and chips which one has to divide... Envoie me an electronic couriel and I send the photograph to you... We go to France the next year and I have hate to see your country. We are of Canada. With the next one...
That's a good point. Even the smallest portions in the United States seem pretty large as compared to the typical portions in France, in my experience.

I would suggest sharing because I ate there and didn't like anything I tried. My food was wasted. People are different and some do like the food there so I would share first.

The translation is far to be perfect !!! LOL

I'm not a big eater at all, but mostly eat veggies (not a vegetarian at all, but do go days without meat and enjoy that). Tangeriene (sp?) is my fave at WS, and I like the veggie platter. But... I don't share! If it was anything else, I'd share (meat platters are more filling) and order some extra sides of tabouli, olives, hummus, etc... It's fun to try their veggies, and really cheap to add a side. Also their couscous is good too! And have some Moroccon Beer - and listen to their band MO - ROCKIN! They're fun! :cool1:
