Just wanted to shout out a big thanks to all those who recommended this lovely jewel in Epcot's Morocco--I think it was our favorite meal of the trip. Of course it was 3pm and we were starving, but still---I thought it was our best counter service meal, and we were on the QSDP. I had the veggie platter, which involved a bunch of stuff I'd never had, but was SO tasty (falafel, olives, hummus, yummu pita type bread....) and the BAKLAVA--delicious! And the kids had chicken nuggets. I can honestly say we would never have made a special trip here for lunch w/o the DIS recommendations. Thanks again!

I love the food there too!

Shhhhh...lets not tell anyone!

Don't let the secret out! Tangierine Cafe is one of the best counter service restaurants on property, and I usually make sure to stop there during my tour of World Showcase.

I like it better than many of the TS choices at WDW. I'm also glad it isn't extremely popular because it's always easy to get a seat there.

The lamb shwarma is just.... wow. So delicious. Glad you enjoyed your meal there!

I love that place. I eat lunch there often on Sunday. There or China.

Another Tangerine Cafe lover.

I am not a big eater, have breakfast then usually snack my way around Epcot. Usually we do a TS meal later in the evening. This past fall I was determined I was going to try this CS after reading so many reports, it did not disappoint. :thumbsup2 For Tangerine Cafe.

Agreed!! We had the lamb and chicken platter and it was soo good! (the lamb was better though!). I probably could have eaten a plate just of the humus! It was nice too because it was right when Mo'Rockin had a set, so we sat and ate while we listen to them play. Made for a nice little relaxing moment after walking the World Showcase.

Sorry to be in the opposing view on this, but we just tried it yesterday for the first time and thought it was terrible. Worst falafel I've ever had next to Whole Foods' market. The most dry, hard falafel.:scared1: The wrap was stale and dry too. :sad1:The quinoa salad was ok, the lentil salad...terrible. Sorry wouldn't go back.

Maybe it was an "off" day but even dd's chick nuggets were lousy, $7.99 for almost cold dry nuggets & a bag of chips, never again. We'll definitely avoid this place our next trip.

Maybe this wasn't the same place as everyone on this thread is raving about...:confused3

Anyone have photos? Sounds yummy! Do they have a tzazika (creamy cucumber) type sauce with the wraps?

I love the veggie platter and could eat one every day. Yum!

JJsmama - We enjoy having lunch at TC on almost every trip. For some its not to their normal taste. . . we love trying the foods of various nations (that's why we're regulars at the IF&WF). Here's our favorite meal at TC, the lamb swarma platter. From nine o'clock you have sliced onions, sliced spiced lamb, Tabouleh (a great marinated parsley salad), hummus and CousCous. In the middle is flat bread (Pita) which we prefer to the roll that comes with the platter. It normally has Tzatziki sauce but they missed it this time and we were too hungry to notice.

We usually have it with iced Moroccan mint tea and a side of marinated olives (see below). Great midday dining while sitting and people watching. Hope you enjoy!

I love this place! The tabouleh is my favorite. I think I could eat a huge bowl of it by itself!

To the OP. I'm glad you enjoyed the Tangiering Cafe. This is one of those places, IMHO, where the hype meets expectations. It is always a must do for us. :thumbsup2

I've eaten there since they opened, yes a long long time ago and we've eaten there each and every trip. You can count on it every time. In Nov I tried the meatballs, in all these years I had always gotten the Scharma platters and the falafel sandwich but I tried a meatball from one of the boys platters and they are darn good too! I think in June I may have a hard decision to make!

So glad you enjoyed it!

We usually have the DxDDP and this is one of the only places I'll use a TS for the food.

Yummy!!
