This uses the same technology as my monopods, aluminum tent poles.
I like the idea but the poles are really stiff only in the vertical direction, using them on an angle seems like it would be unsteady. Still, any tripod is better than none at all (unless it drops our camera) and one this light and small is likely to be carried more than a larger one.
Has anyone tried this tripod?
