We are in Orlando in a family holiday in July 09 and would like to take in a game. I have a number of questions that I'm sure you can answer.

1. How long does the journey from I-Drive take? Is the stadium easy to get to?

2. Are tickets easy to obtain? If not please advise on best approach on getting them incl when they will be on sale.

3. We need 2 adult & 2 kids tickets, what are the price ranges we can expect to pay?

Any other advice will be gratefully received.

Thanks

1. It should take no more than 2 hours (and that is assuming traffic somewhere between I-Drive and the Stadium). It may not take that long.

Its very easy to get to...take I-4 west towards Tampa. I-4 merges on to I-275 southbound. Take I-275 and follow directions to the stadium.

2. Tickets are typically very easy to get. However, if they do well in the playoffs this year, or even win the World Series (fingers crossed), tickets MAY become a bit more difficult, but that would be huge turnaround. You can get them at the window, or go to Tampabayrays.com and click on the tickets section for more info.

3. Again, go to Tampabayrays.com and all ticket info is under the tickets section.

Hope that helps, go Rays!

Depite being from the UK, my husband LOVES baseball, and we have been to Tropicana Field to see the Rays and down to Miami to see the Marlins.

Tropicana Field was way better, and really easy to find. It's really well signposted from the freeway and has loads of parking (also well signposted).

There are loads of snack stands etc that we tried most of.

My husband says the atmosphere at the stadium isn't as good as the really big stadiums (eg Yankees, Red Sox etc) but was still enjoyable.

I'm not that fussed about baseball, and I still really enjoyed it. I remember it was hard to get back on the freeway coming home (we got lost!) - we could not find the on-ramp anywhere! But that is all part of us being over excited and not really used to American signs and stuff.

We still have our foam fingers and shiny green beads we were given free when we arrived at the stadium :rotfl:

I'm sure you'll have a great time. Enjoy yourselves!
