Tamagochi vs Gigapet

So, DD7 (almost 8) has asked Santa for a tamogachi. I already bought a gigapet. So, are they comparable or does the gigapet go back to Target???

They may as well be the same thing. I actually believe they are exactly the same with a different manufacturer. Any differences are negligable. I had both in the late 90s and you couldn't tell the difference. I'd defineatly keep it.
