Talking Mickey was a bad idea!

Our family was not impressed with talking Mickey. They should at least let families go in one at a time when meeting him. We met him during MNSSHP (which was disappointing because he wasn't in a costume), and he told us a Haunted Mansion story. While the kids knew it wasn't really Mickey and just someone in a suit, they still thought the story was for them. A few days later we went back and he told the same story to the family in front of us which made the previous meeting not magical in the slightest. The kids were disappointed, and not pleased. I doubt we go back to that meet and greet. We will stick to the one in EPCOT.

Don't you have a friend or relative in real life who tells the same story over-and-over?

;)

:rotfl2: Yes, but not word for word, and not to my children. Talking Mickey was a total buzzkill for them.

If you think that's bad, BLINKING Mickey gives even adults nightmares! :scared1:

my two-year-old wasn't sure what to think of him. he warmed up to Sorcerer Mickey much easier. however, he loves Mickey, so he was excited, just not sure of him. DD (12) thought he was cool.

the only thing is that, with his pre-done stories, some of them are awkward. he tried to get my two-year-old to fly like Peter Pan. DS just didn't really get it. he also had them pose like they were flying. poor DD looks awkward with her one arm sticking out.

A know it all!!!:lmao: You were not there the day we were and Mickey started to ask us questions.

Mickey can ASK a lot of questions.
However, he can only ANSWER a very limited few.

But, every time we start getting technical about Mr. Mouse, someone calls on us to keep the magic quiet,
so that's about as far as I want to go on this.

We LOVED talking Mickey. We were there on DD's 5th birthday. She had a great interaction with him, and he even sang happy birthday to her. He lead the whole room in song. It was not rushed one bit, and was just magical in every way. I was a big fan.pixiedust:

You're right. It's exactly as you said, because you were there and clearly that is all that is needed. My bad. I know nothing.

Or, you don't have the first clue of everything that is going on in that room, and beyond.

You mean he is not real??? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Talking Mickey didn't speak to us when we were there...Was it something we said? It was a great character interaction regardless!

Technical difficulties are not uncommon, unfortunately.

Not a fan of taking Mickey. Hopefully that isn't implemented with all the fur characters.

And here I thought this was a thread about the creepy overpriced dolls they sold a few years back. Now THAT was a bad idea.
