Talking In Your Sleep

Yes on quite a few occasions I have talked in my sleep and as someone else said laughed in my sleep. I have also been known to yell out in my sleep if I am having a nightmare. Did that in the hospital this past March. Two nurses came running in to my room, then saw I was still asleep and walked out. Told me about it that morning.

If I was the roommate it would be a big deal. I am a light sleeper and can't easily fall back to sleep if woken in the night. If my roommate kept waking me up at night it would be a huge deal. Maybe the OPs daughter can get a diagnosis at a sleep center that would qualify her for a solo room.

A college dorm is not the place for a light sleeper and DD doesn't talk in her sleep all night every night.

My DD talks in her sleep sometimes. And my sister did also. She'd just talk and talk and talk. Answered questions and all of that.

DD also walks in her sleep. She has scared me a few times. Our new house will have an true upstairs where she will have her room and I'm hoping she doesn't try to walk down the stairs!
