Talked to CS Manager- May not have free dining this year!

I talked with WDW and they said that they only would do free dining if they have a low booking and this year they have alot of booking so most likely will not do it!!!!

So she also said that if people have booked in hopes of free dining they need to cancel so that they could know true bookings VS ones that would only come with free dining? If they end up having alot of cancels then they may do free dining but most likely wouldn't give much notice only a few weeks. And they also might change the policy that if you are already booked you would have to cancel then rebook to get free dining also??

So I guess we will see. I just thought I would pass the info on to you all because as of now it doesn't look like we will get free dining this year if the bookings stay the same.

So if you one of those who have booked only in hopes of free dining you might want to call and ask about what I was told. If you get a honest CS rep I think they will tell you what I was told also.

Rest assured that the front-line CMs are not really in a position to know, either way. Check the forums and you'll see messages, like yours, reporting what members have heard from CMs, both on the phone and in person -- and about half of them say "yes" and about half of them say "no". (Unfortunately, only a very small percentage of CMs provide the correct answer, i.e., that they don't know! )

I agree. I take most of what the CMs say with a grain of salt. I think it is mostly speculation (and personal opinion) still at this point with most of them.

I have booked for September and my travel agent called me and told me that Disney had told her they have a promotion August/September. She told me to call her back on April 12th and she would give me the actual package information.

From another post I asked her for the dates and she said August (did not remember date) to September 22nd. Someone else had posted about Free Dining from August to September 22nd. We arrive on the 23rd.

I just found out from my friend, whose aunt is a manager at AAA, that there will most likely be a promotion for dining. It will be offered in May for when you book hotel and tickets together. She didn't have any other info, and I don't know whether it is true or not... I guess we'll wait and see...
