I spent three hours today organizing all my coupons into a binder. Thanks to the awesome ideas from the coupon organization thread. My question is, what stores will allow you to use more than one coupon for the same item if they are different coupons, not duplicates, but like different amounts.

I am going to CVS tomorrow for the first time and am getting my gameplan together. Thanks for all the great ideas and advice you all give. I have learned and saved a lot, and made many cyber friends. Kat

I don't know of any store that will allow you to use more than one manufacturer's coupon on one item.

I do know that CVS will allow you to use 1 cvs coupon and 1 mfg coupn per item.

Stacking coupons refers to one of two things:

stacking a store coupon for a specific item on top of a manf coupon for the same item. Most stores allow this unless either coupon prohibits it...the coupons you can print from the BTFE site, do not allow stacking.

or

stacking $/$$ coupons at CVS....as in using a $10/$50, $4/$20, and $3/$15 on a single $50+ order.

I agree w/ pp. Walgreens will also let you use a WAG cpn with a manufacturer's cpn but I don't know of anywhere that will let you use more than one man. cpn on the same item.

You can usually use 2 mfg dollar off q's and one BOGO coupon for two items if they're eligible.

Tomorrow, I am purchasing 2 Herbal Essences shampoos using 3 q's as I described.

Um, no you can't do that...ever. That's coupon fraud. And no it's not ok to do bogo and a cents off together on just 2 items. You can use a cents off coupon with a wyb coupon though.

Perhaps it depends on the store I've been doing it at Giant Eagle for about 10 years now! Yikes! I guess I will be pointing it out and asking them about it tomorrow but they certainly have never said a thing in the past! Thanks for pointing this out!

At some stores during a store buy 1 get 1 free sale, you can use 2 manufacturer's coupons for those two items. That's different from using a bogo coupon with a manu coupon.

I have never found you to be able to use two coupons at a time for one item. I've tried using a manf. coupon and a B.J's coupon and they won't let you. Now what I have done, for example, is at S&S this this week they had Aquafresh toothpaste 10/$10. I bought two, and had two $1 off one tube coupons. So I got 2 tubes of toothpaste for free The thing is, it's hard to find $1 off of just one item. It's usually $1 off of two, but I lucked out! Also, it seems that if you use a self check-out counter, it's more likely to take iffy coupons than a live person register. I don't know why this is but it just seems to be.

One other stacking scenario is commonly called piggybacking. Here's an example I can remember from recent times:

Coupon 1 is for $1 off brand x steak sauce
Coupon 2 is for $1 off meat when you buy brand x steak sauce

or

Coupon 1 is for $1 off baby wipes
Coupon 2 is for free baby wash when you buy baby wipes

Most stores will allow this with no problem, it won't beep, etc. Some people think it's unethical, some don't
