What rides have single rider?

If I understand correctly, if my husband and I both get into the single rider line it means we won’t ride together. Correct?

Off the top of my head...
Indiana Jones
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain (reports are that it's sometimes not there)
Radiator Springs Racers
Incredicoaster (reports are that it's gone at night)

Probably others that I'm forgetting? Maybe Matterhorn; I won't ride that so I haven't paid attention.

You usually won't ride together. Occasionally you might.

One of our favorites to do the single rider line is Grizzly River Rapids. Usually a pretty fast line and often times you are seated with your travel companion, but of course, not always. Fun to do this ride over and over again on a hot day with such minimal wait!

Matterhorn has one.

My friends and I use them when we don't mind being split up. However, I personally still prefer to use maxpass. Although the single rider lines for the most part go quick, I've been in some where they get backed up, or don't save me any time. I've also experienced some single rider lines get closed because the regular lines are just too long (i.e. Incredicoaster and Matterhorn).

You likely will not ride together. On a rare occasion you may be in the same vehicle but that is the exception, not the norm.

When I tried the single rider for Indy in October of last year - it was NEVER "available" . This really threw me because I didn't get a FP because I thought I could do single rider like on RSR - always available.

Has this changed? Are there any other single rider where the CM's can opt to open it or not?

Yes! I put that in my response above. I've attempted to do Matterhorn, Incredicoaster and Indy single rider before and they were closed. It seems it happens if the regular and fastpass lines are very long, and they are trying to get a handle on them. Also, if the ride breaks down, they close single rider until they can get control of the line since there is an influx of those with Multiexperience passes. I've never seen Cars single rider get closed, but I do notice that sometimes they will wait until 30 minutes after opening to start it because they want to establish the line first.

Single rider is isn't a high priority I think, which is why I personally still opt to get maxpass for rides, rather than rely on single rider.

When the single rider wait exceeds the standby line, or in RSR case, extends out of the queue, they will close the line until it is much shorter.

No guarantees of

In my experience of Indy SRL, it comes and goes all the time for different reasons (some include: lots of SRs already, lots of people in the handicap access line [which is the same line as the SRL], standby line past a certain length, standby length not up to a certain length, time of day, and if the ride just came back up after a closure).

All the single rider lines are up to the discretion of the CMs working the ride. I don't think there's a single SRL that never closes. I've been to RSR multiple times when the SRL was closed.

I've found Indy to be unreliable for single riders. I don't know why, but it's often not running or people are in line but not being loaded. When I go through the main line, with or without a FP, I'm always shocked to see that people are lined up before the pre-show video but no one is on the loading platform! I have watched so many vehicles go with random open seats

DH and I like to ride RSR multiple times using the single rider line. It's about 50/50 that we get to ride in the same car together. It's fun when we are in different cars and end up racing each other.

If you decide to use the SR line, just have a plan ready in case you do get separated and the ride goes down. Occasionally this does happen, and it can really help calm nerves to have some kind of plan already in place. Especially for families that get split up, and you may be separated for over 30 minutes -- so be aware that this could happen, having a plan to refer to (hoping, of course, that you don't ever have to use it) can really be a help.

My daughter loves single rider line. It doesnt always mean you wont be in the same car together (me, my son, and daughter once did racers in single rider line and all got the same car which they were bummed about). I will say that from what I have seen most of the time when people in the single rider line ask to ride together they are told no and then purposely get split up; so if you dont ask you have a chance of them needing both of you. I think some CM's do this to try and deter people from asking and then skipping a long line by jumping into single rider line.
