Talk to me about Rope Dropping Flight of Passage

We were just there on Tuesday 9/25 and because of a thread I saw here we got to AK by 7:45. At 8:15 they let everyone in to the bridge into Avatar. At 8:30 they let everyone right into and onto the ride. We got right on and we're walking off the ride at 8:55!!! I check the stand by line time when we got off and it said 60 minutes. By the time we got off the River ride it was 135 minutes. We checked again before Rivers of Light but it was still around 60+ minutes so we didn't ride again.

Now as for the ride, one word, AMAZING!!! Disney has outdone themselves with FOP and it is absolutely the best ride anywhere on this planet!!!!

Thanks, this is the strategy we will be using. We are not RD folks. So excited for FOP!

We've never done rope drop either, it's just too crowed for us. I would rather wait until later after the crowds die down.

I managed to snag a FP but for much later in the day, and not sure if we will be able to stay in AK till then (because of ADR at MK for dinner)
If the parks open at 9 would we good for about 730-8??

I did this yesterday. It was early entry and I arrived at 7:30. I am an older woman, not a fast walker, and I waited one hour for Flight of Passage. No one ran or pushed a stroller into fellow guests. After FOP, Navi River was posted at 50 minutes, but I walked on. I was very pleased to finish both rides by 9:30 with no fastpasses.

In June, we arrived 30min early for EMH and the park opened about 15 minutes before the actual time. From when we first got in line and then off of FoP, it was almost exactly 30min. Posted was 60min. As we were finally leaving Pandora, there was a huge wave of non-resort guests running into the land to get in line.
