So, I'm a bit of a "picky" eater....but DH will pretty much eat anything. We've done Palo both times we cruised b/c it was a safer bet for me...but I think DH would enjoy the food at Remy and I'm up for trying something new. Any picky eaters out there have any Remy recommendations? TIA!

I would recommend that you go to Remy dinner (two set menus to choose from) instead of Remy brunch (one set menu to choose from- i.e., no actual choices).

I'm also a picky eater. Did Remy a couple of times and was absolutely amazed at what I was eating. Things that I would never have even considered eating. It was all good. Go ahead and expand your culinary horizons!

As a foodie, I say do it. The food is more about quality, preparation and presentation then it is about finding the most bizarre thing they can put in front of you. They are there to provide you with an exceptional experience so don’t hesitate to make special requests as well and discuss your likes and dislikes with your serving team. Enjoy!!

I'm particular with what I like to eat and found Remy accommodating. I remember it was easier there than Victoria and Albert's and Club 33. Enjoy.

I've been one who had avoided it - I'm not overly picky, but I'm gluten-free and I'm not really a fish/seafood person (I'll do *some* shellfish very selectively). BUT in Feb 2020 when I was on the Celebrity Edge I pushed myself and tried Eden, which also has a very limited, foodie-type menu and loved it. So I'm really considering trying it on the Dream in February.

I really kind of want to go back to Remy except for 2 things - I'm leery of the changes they are making to the menu options (going alacarte) and the last time we were there the service was very rude.

But the food was great so...

I am a super picky eater and loved Remy. For example, I do not eat fish/seafood, mushrooms, anything raw (so no beef tartare), apples, quail, goat, watermelon, blue cheeses...and I had a fantastic time and the server was super nice about it. A lot of the items I can't eat are allergies/intolerances (some requiring an epi-pen, like apples, others just in the I know I can't eat it or I will ahem, be stuck in the bathroom for hours). And ok mushrooms are a texture thing, ick, ick, ick. I am sure there are more things that I won't eat and again, was one of the best meals ever and I would do it again. It also made me want to try Victoria and Alberts.

I'm not sure if it's always an option, but we tried the Remy dessert experience. I'm also a very picky eater, but somehow (ha!) I have a broader range of desserts I'll eat... I can find something at just about any restaurant that I'll like, but the fixed menus kept me away from Remy.

The desserts we had were very good. OK, I still didn't like 1 of the 6, and fortunately there was nothing with coconut that time, so I tried all of them and a couple were very very good). It gave us a little bit of the experience of Remy, without the investment/risk of the full dinner. I think I'd have probably been fine with the full dinner, too, but it would have felt weird to go, pay that much, and then find I really wasn't going to eat 1/3 of the items!

Correction I said Alacarte - I meant pre fixe.

How were the rude out of curiosity? I've never heard of this on a DCL cruise (not saying it doesn't happen). I trust the issue was resolved?

My wife was literally scolded because she didn't know that she was supposed to get a little stool and put her purse on it, then he (the server) spent the rest of the meal talking down to us, and giving us the stink eye as if we were somehow dining above our station. Please don't get it twisted, this was not a case of us feeling out of our element. We are by no means rich - but we do eat in high end places a lot because that's how we enjoy spending our discretionary cash. So it wasn't a case of us feeling out of place and projecting.

I’m in the same situation as you. I know DH would love it but I’m so limited in what I can eat (no fish/seafood, dairy, mushrooms, beef, veal and even pork is starting to give me issues) that I don’t think it’s worth it for me to go. I will stick with chicken at the MDR.
