Talk to me about purses/bags/backpacks - recommendations

Okay, I just could not resist! Inspite of the fact that I have the Donner, which I love and was able to buy for $23.00 deliverer, but now the lowest it can be found is $35, I did have to order myself the black baggilini. This was always my second choice, and heck, I do have two disney trips coming up, so don't I need two bags??

I am wondering how long it takes to arrive? I am actually leaving on Feb. 14, and if the bag arrives in time, will take both with me, hoping my hubby will pack the baggilini (I won't tell him it is called a "woman's bag".

It is looking like rain, so I know we will be packing extra stuff with us do deal with the rain.

I ordered a red Baggallini last Fri. Jan. 30th and it came a couple days ago.....so in all it took like 5 days (incl. the weekend) to get here. I was shocked it came so fast!!!! I am excited to use my new bag.....I think I'm going to love it!!!! I'm sure you will get it in time for your trip. Have a great time!! :cheer2:

Mine also shipped very fast, within a few days I'd say.

Ok, so I have to say I'm now the proud owner of TWO baggallini bags. I bought the khaki one elsewhere online for $35-ish, and then I bought the black one using that screamin' discount. So I can either alternate them to match my clothes ;) or have DH or 14 y/o DD carry the other one.

They are quite roomy and seem like they will accomodate a lot of stuff! I was actually pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they seemed. Normally I hate cross-body purses because they feel like they're cutting into/choking my neck. But this does not feel like that at all! (Ask me again when it's loaded down with junk and I've been lugging it around all day in the heat and crowds though).

The one thing that makes me a teensy bit nervous is the fact that it's on my back, and some pick-pocket could unzip it while in a crowded line. I know there's the inner pocket or the one on the front strap (where I'll put my credit card and cell phone) but my camera will have to go on in the back somewhere. Other than that, thieves can help themselves to all the wet-naps, granola bars and sunscreen they want I guess :confused3

And, if anyone was wondering, they definitely are big enough to hold a few diapers and a travel wipes container in addition to all the other stuff, so that will come in extra handy!

For now, though, consider me a fanny pack to baggallini convert :thumbsup2 (This is BIG because I am one who HATES purses or anything that makes me feel bogged down in anyway. Especially when chasing the little ones around!)

Oh and today I spent all morning laminating lime green mickey heads to adorn it ;)

OK. I just may have you all beat. I ordered my lime green baggallini messenger bagg yesterday (2:10am) from bagsbuy and it arrived today (2:09pm) by UPS. What a nice surprise.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again Avalon.

I have been bitten by the Baggallini bug and I blame all of you! :goodvibes

DH and I went to the outlet mall today and I just happened to run across a Baggallini cosmetic bag. I had been looking for a new one and of course the Baggallini named rang a bell with me because of this board. I got this one for only $15!

I then wondered if they might have a good Disneyland bag so I kept looking and found the Baggallini Wallet Bagg for only $19.99!
http://http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/wallet_bagg_large_microfiber/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=67429

It is the size of a small purse but seems to hold a lot. It can go over the shoulder, across the shoulder, around the waist or on a belt. It unzips to open up to slots for cards where I will keep the AP and FPs and CC. It has several zippered parts inside too where I can keep my camera. I can't wait to take it to DLR! :goodvibes 4 more months! Aggghhh! :hyper:

I have to tell you, I came to post my deliver time too. It was shockingly fast. I ordered it at 7:10am and the next morning it arrived at about 9:00am. I was shocked I tell ya. I have never had anything delivered in 26 hours. Now that is my idea of customer service!

And I love the bag. I already tried it on DS 12 and it is a great fit (he doesn't have a clue that it is a "ladies" bag:))

I carry a bagg. When I got mine last fall, there was a sale somewhere online that someone had posted. I got mine for under $30. Here is a link to the design, and yes, mine is lime green. http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/mes..._nylon/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=18644 I don't usually take it off on the rides. I twist it so that it sits on the seat beside me.
I SWEAR by my lime green Bagg <3 I'm obessed with it! I've had it for almost 3 years now, so it's a little dirty, because I use it everyday; I think I'll get a new one before my next trip.

I, too, carry a baggellini, and I LOVE it. I don't take it off for rides, either; I just slide it around to the side. My favorite part is the little pocket that sits on my chest; it's the perfect place to keep cash, credit cards, and park tickets.
love it love it love it!

Do those bags hang loosely or are they snug against the chest?
Mine's really comfy. But then again, I'm 14 and bags are usually long on me; this one is comfy.

They are adjustable, so you can have them however you want them. I've found with mine that if I want it tighter, I have to adjust it fairly often because the adjustment. .. thingy.... tends to slide down, but I love the other features of the bag so much it doesn't even signify.

I wanted to add that the other pocket on the Bagg that I love is the one that opens on the back of the bagg. It sits against your back when you're wearing it, so it's a perfect place to put your wallet. No one is sneaking in there without you being aware of it.
yes, it's perfect for money I love it!

I use one of those water bottle straps for my water. (Does DL sell them? I got mine at Animal Kingdom.) My husband and I take turns wearing it. So my fanny pack fits everything I need (which isn't much.)

I just feel like that big bag would get very hot in the summertime. When I used to wear a backpack, my back would be way too hot. I feel that would be the same thing except on the front.
actually, the Bagg is pretty cool. It's the material; it feels vented to me; it works great!

for all the baggallini users:

I normally don't like cross-body purses because the weight of them always pulls on them and the shoulder strap feels like it's cutting into my neck. Do you feel this at all with the baggallini?

I have this bag http://sherpani.us/product.aspx?bO3FscouH=1&GQd0EjaqX=3&pmdoXJC4W=138# in green which is stinkin' cute and would probably otherwise be good at DL but I had that annoying strangling feeling when wearing it.
Mine's comfy!

That was fun! You see, I'm in a Disney mood because I'm in the process of convincing my dad to go to Disneyland with me next weekend; I found a great rate. I just like walking around and enjoying myself and the weather, so crowds don't really bother me. I swear by single-rider anyways ;)

Wow. You have me beat. Do you live in Oregon. That is where mine was shipped from. I was also shocked it came so fast.

No, I am actually from Mukilteo, just up the road from you. I changed my screen name, and I guess I did not get my location put on this one. Will have to go in and adjust, especially now that I can change my wish ribbon to 20 lbs!!

once upon a time I had this really cute Tinkerbell cross the body bag , but I lent it to my mom for here trip and it never came back:eek: its probably in her closet. I still use a cross body bag, but it doesn't have tink on it any more. :guilty:

I thought I posted on here, but I don't see it. I just got, (a month or so ago) my new bag that I bought for our Disney trip this year. I read for ages, and finally decided on this one, after seeing it in person at REI. I chose the Donner by Overland. I like that it hangs across and has a nice big strap, room for two water bottles, a non zipper pocket, a velcro pocket, and lots of zipper pockets too. It is fairly spacious, and I think will hold everything we need for a day. (except coats and rain gear, if that is needed) I immedietly loaded it up and tried it out, including water bottles. I wore it all day, and honestly did not even feel it. I am so happy with this bag! I know a lot of people use it, but have not seen it mentioned, so thought I would.

Thank you for this suggestion! I just got one today and I cannot wait to fill it up. The fabric is durable yet flexible, two areas for water bottles/sippy cups, just enough pockets. I absolutely love it! My mom saw it too and wants one for herself. I can't say enough about how much I like this, can you tell? :goodvibes

I take my old backpack, but I have looked at these bags that cross the chest, I have heard that they are pretty useful.

I use a hip bag I got from Etsy. I also use it as the place for all our trading pins because I use the locking backs on the girls' lanyards. I put my phone, wallet, GPS tracker, an extra camera battery and carry some locking backs. i keep my camera around my neck and the rest in the stroller.

I love those bags that cross over your chest.

I'm always bogged down because I've got my camera bag, lol.

I used to have a tiny bag with tink on the side that I was in love with for any theme park trip, but I lent it to my mom for her DLR trip one year and that was the last I ever saw of it, I dont know is shes hiding it because she likes it or if she liked it as much as me :confused3 anyway now I use a slightly bigger back that has an anime character on the side. Not as much Disney magic, but it works the same. Both were small and over the shoulder.
