Talk to me about Pirate Adventure Cruises

We will be staying at Caribbean Beach this summer and are thinking about booking our daughter on a Pirate Adventure Cruise. For anyone whose children have gone on one of these, can you tell me about it? How did they enjoy it?

My girls did this many years ago & really enjoyed it. The only drawback they said was that they were the only girls, but because they had each other, in the end it really didn't matter. It's a fun time and the cm's did a good job with the group.

My son has done two of them so far. One at the Yacht Club and one at the Grand Floridian. He was 4 and 5 when he went and had an absolute blast! The stories they have are a little different but basically both times they were a group of maybe 8 kids with 2 cast members. The kids wore a black life vest with a skull and cross bones and got a pirate bandana to wear before boarding. They have some sort of story they tell and clues to find a treasure. They get a snack and drink while on the boat and get to keep a share of their treasure. It was mostly pirate rings, necklaces, fake jewels, etc. and they got a pirate keepsake bag to put it in.

I want to say both times we dropped him off around 9:15 and the boat departed around 9:30 and we were back to pick him up at 11am. He came bounding off the boat both times just crazy excited.

Both of my girls went on one in October from the Grand Floridian. They were 9 and 5 at the time. They had a really good time on this "adventure." They went on a pontoon boat to the Poly, Contemporary and Fort Wilderness to search for clues. They both really enjoyed it and would do it again.

When i was younger i did one with my little brother and close friend. i was one of the most fun and magical things i've done in the parks. I was around 8 and there was also a good mix of boys and girls, more boys obviously, but still a mix. i would highly recommend it.
