I have stayed at OKW twice before, but it has been six years since the last visit. I specifically recall on both occasions saying that at some point I wanted to stay on site for a day or two, not going to the parks at all, but was wondering what is currently offered. I think I recall a list of activities for the kids?

Also, will need to get to and from Fort Wilderness area. Can you get there from OKW? ;) The only time I was at FW it was a bit of a hassle getting to and from there -- I hope it goes a bit quicker and more smoothly now. I think it was one of those multi-stage trips, that is, you had to go through TTC??? A direct bus now by any chance?

Lastly, and related, where are there direct buses? The parks, I assume, but any other resorts, downtown Disney (still can get there by boat?) Any current info would be appreciated!

We don't usually use the busses, but last I heard there were no direct resort to resort bus services available. From OKW they have busses that take you to the theme parks as well as DTD. You would probably have to take a bus either to the TTC or DTD and then hook up with a bus to Ft. Wilderness. We were at OKW in July and they still had the boat going from there to DTD as well. You might want to try posting this question on either the Vacation Club or Transportation forum. There are a lot of people there who have used the bus service to and from OKW a lot and sing it's praises.

I don't know of a direct way but you can take bus to Kingdom then boat to FW. Atleast it's variety.
