We have done the MNSSHP, but this year will be our first Christmas party. What are our must do's?!? We are doing a Fri (Nov 13) party. It's the only way we can fit it in :) So hopefully it won't be too crazy!!!

We went on a Friday in 2012, the first Friday party of the year. It was somewhat crowded. There are characters that don't normally appear, 7 Drwarfs come to mind. There is a castle show then the fireworks. Other than cookies and snow on Main St. it's pretty much a normal MK evening. Also, there is some special merchandise.

We are going to the Christmas party this year too, but are going 12/18, the last one. It will probably be crazy crowded! I hope not! We went the party in 2008 the week after Thanksgiving. It was monsoon raining all day and into the evening. Most of the shows were cancelled. It was no fun! I'm hoping for a fantastic time this year!

Just ordered our tickets for Thursday, Dec. 3. So excited! Never have been to WDW in December and I am so looking forward to all of it.

Will be following this thread to see how to maximize the fun at MVMCP.

Thanks for the input so far!!! We definitely plan on seeing the Wishes and 7 dwarves and getting some rides in (at MNSSHP my Spalsh obsessed child rode it with me for 40 minutes straight...I told her we were getting off after the 6th time LOL)

Is the hot cocoa and cookies included, like the trick or treating? Is the parade worth catching?

The parade is the one thing we did get a chance to see and it was SO good! Can't wait to see it again! 40 straight minutes of Splash? Wow, LOL!! Wishes is a must-do, for sure. We watched all of 5 minutes of one of the shows...can't remember what it was called, but it was shaping up to be a great show, and curtain literally just dropped out of the blue. They said show was cancelled due to weather. That was the theme for the rest of the night. Very disappointing! Sooo...shows are a must-do for this year, too!

Speaking of Splash, I am listening to Live365 Disney radio, as we speak, and the theme song for Splash just came on, LOL! :)

Yes the hot cocoa and cookies is included :)

MNSSHP & MVMCP are very similar- special parade, fireworks, stage show and rare characters! The parade and fireworks are definitely worth catching! On top of that, I would make a plan for what characters you want to meet!

MVMCP is my absolute favorite event! We are going to the party the night before you, Nov 12th. We have an early dinner BOG at 4:30pm and then afterwards we'll get a spot for the frozen wish. I love getting a spot for the first parade in Liberty Square, right near LTT.. since the parade route starts right there. Last year the park felt so empty. I went on Splash over and over again, BTMR over and over and went on the rest of my favorite rides over and over with no lines, it was wonderful! It was the only time all week that MK felt that empty so it is so worth it to us.. We did a Sunday party last year on Nov 16th. I love the hot cocoa, but I don't eat the cookies.
