I haven't been to Disney in nearly 15 years (been 28 times total though we went every year as a kid multiple times) but my husband has never been. We are planning adult only Nov 2022 trip and just starting. For some reason I have always wanted to stay there but really have no idea why. My husband has some pretty bad anxiety so we need easy transport to MK, HS, and Epcot. So tell me all I need to know. Pros/cons

Never stayed, but I've been through it. It's a big resort, like 200 acres big. Lots of walking. Lots of rooms. It has the Skyliner (Gondolas in the sky) to EP and HS. Bus to MK. Would his anxiety be greater if he was in a floating carriage over a bus? If so, I would avoid CBR then.

The floating carriage shouldn't bother him. BIG crowds bother him but he is a massive Star Wars fan so that is why he is now interested in going.

I found Galaxy's Edge to be one of the most crowded locations in the entirety of WDW property. Maybe I was just unlucky with crowding?

So define easy transportation and if waiting on that is the anxiety? Buses can be spotty first thing, I have - I would say - mild anxiety issues, especially around rope drop buses. They can totally throw off your day if you end up not on the first or second one. Granted things are starting to normalize around opening now, but we went in May and stayed at Caribbean beach - first time we tried to catch a bus to AK we watched it drive past us an hour and 15 minutes before park open... the next one didn't come for 40 minutes. We did see about 5 MK buses in that time. The next time we got out there an hour and 30 minutes before park opening and ended up waiting 30 minutes for that first bus - a ton of people showed up in that time for both. The second stop was out of luck because we were completely full. (Jamaica bus stop)

And now that I spilled all that, things have changed so your mileage may vary - buses aren't confined to 9 parties anymore and the parks are adapting to more normal rope drop hours. If you aren't rope droppers then no worries at all.

Skyliner is definitely a pro for getting around, it makes HS and Epcot a breeze. Rope dropping HS on the Skyliner is a little chaotic as they feed the lines from AoA/Pop, Riviera and CBR together at opening, but it goes rather quickly.

Try and get Jamaica building 43 if you end up staying there.

We just returned from CBR. I was concerned about staying there because everybody talks about how big it is. My family really did not find it overwhelming. There were 10 of us between the ages of 4-75, and my dad has dementia and was on a scooter.

We stayed in Barbados 32. The bus stop was directly behind us and the buses were never full. They came about every 20 minutes. The only confusing thing was that sometimes a bus to a park would pass right by us. I think they were heading to pick people up in Jamaica and Aruba. Since CBR is so close to Riviera, if we were waiting for a bus at the park, and the Riviera bus came first, we just hopped on ttat

The pool and Old Port Royale were maybe a 5 minute walk. The pool never felt over crowded. The quiet pool in Barbados was almost always empty.

The skyliner is a huge selling point. We could easily walk to the Jamaica skyliner, and used that to get to Epcot, DHS, and the counter service at Riviera (more selection than at CBR). When we were being poured on at Epcot and wanted to haul it back to the resort after fireworks, it was quick and easy to access.

I found the resort to be peaceful and took a walk every day around the walking path. I walk quickly and it took about 20 minutes to make a loop around the property.

We love CBR. skyliner is nice when it is working. Buses were not terrible. Honestly buses better there then they were at riviera

You all are so awesome. Thank you for such detailed responses. I really appreciate it.
