Right now I have a studio reservation at BCV for Sept 4 -10th. There is just me, my DH an my DD. I could borrow points from next year and get a 1 BR reservation. Should I? Why shouldn't I?

How old is your DD? If she is little and needs to nap then the 1br would be my preference so the adults have a place to relax but if she is older then I would stay with the studio and save points for another trip.

My husband and I are going in October for 8 nights. We only wanted to spend 160 points, but for 6 nights in WL 1 bed it was 167. So we went ahead and did it and are just paying cash for the other two nights. Even though it is just the two of us, we thought it would be great to have the jacuzzi tub at the end of a long day at the park. That in and of itself is worth using the extra points for us. Plus the benefit of cooking (and eating) breakfast in our bathrobes every morning, and being able to do laundry in the room.

I think your decision is a personal one. If you feel the extra room, washer/dryer, full kitchen and jacuzzi tub are worth the extra points, then go for it. For us it was worth it. If you are just looking for some place to crash and are not going to spend a ton of time in the room or arent going to cook any meals, then you will probably be ok with the studio.

Either way, I hope you have a fabulous, magical trip. :earsgirl:

I find a studio perfectly OK for 3. My 5 year old loves to sleep on the fold-out and there really is a lot of room when it is folded up.

It is a real personal decision. The question is will you use the kitchen for more than just breakfast?? Will you use the washer and dryer?? I like all the extras we get with a one bedroom and use them. So it is worth it to me to pay the extra points. If you don't plan on using them and you are comfortable in a studio, go for it.

:hourglass 19 days till we go home to OKW

I don't like hotel rooms, no matter what you call them but they are okay under certain circumstances. First, how much time are you going to be spending in the room? If you will be mostly out, then the studio should be fine. If you spend a lot of time in the room, you might wish to consider the 1-bedroom unit. Second, how long is the trip? For a short trip, a couple or three days, the studio should be okay. For longer trips, a 1-bedroom may be preferable. Three, do you plan to cook or do you plan to go to restraurants? If you plan to cook, the full kitchen in the 1-bedroom is preferrable. If you plan to go to restraurants, then it doesn't matter which size unit. Fourth, if you had extra points available, would you go on another vacation? You may not be able to use the points because of a lack of vacation time so saving points may not be an issue. If you can make a trip, then the question is would you make a trip if you had the points or would you save these for a longer, future trip? There are no right or wrong answers to these questions as it comes down to personal perferences. My preferences is to avoid hotel rooms if I can avoid it but that is me and may not be right for you.

Well I have a Feb use year, which is good. I could borrow the points from '06 and then just bank any leftover for a Feb/Mar '07 trip instead of going in Fall of '06. We then would have extra vacation time by then.

My DH doesn't want to use the points. I like the extras a 1 BR has to offer. We have a "nearly" 3 years old DD coming with us. We stayed in a 1 BR last year and I liked it alot.

I think my decision is that I want to borrow the points, and my DH's is that he doesn't want to.

My DH always wants the 1br and I always want the studio to conserve points. My husband likes grown up alone time after the kids are in bed and that can't happen in a studio. After our latest stay in HH in a studio he announced that from then on it would be 1br's or else.... I think I am starting to see his point of veiw.
