talk me into why I should get netflix. I am confused

There is no way I would sign up for Netflix without also getting a Roku player to stream movies. The same can be done with an X-Box or PS3 but the ROku player as some added functionality that makes it the best choice in my opinion. Any movie available for streaming can be watched instantly and right on the Television through the player while you wait for the movies that are disc only to arrive in the mail.

thank you so much for your replies. I think I will give them a try to see if it is something I would keep.

Everyones opinions are so valueable that I just might become a pro at this.:cool1::cheer2:

We've had netflix for years, and love it! You need to have a mix of new releases and other movies in your Q, so you will always have something to watch. You can always get the occasional redbox if you must have a movie THAT NIGHT. I usually have one netflix for the kids, one for Dh and I and one TV show for me to watch while I fold laundry or exercise. We are on the three at a time plan and go through about 12 a month. The kids will usually keep a movie longer to watch multiple times, so that works for me. I don't know how someone could watch just new releases- so many of them are a waste of time, especially at certain times of year. I have always found netflix to be fast and efficiant, and have very rarely had a damaged disk- maybe one or two in six years.

I am sitting here watching an episode of Saturday Night Live, the second one actually! Simon and Garfunkle are singing "The Boxer", reunited since a split a few years prior. This is priceless to me. All the seasons of SNL are on it and it is so much fun to see how the show evolved. Streaming of course!

We were paying $93 a month for DirecTv (I CANNOT BELIEVE we paid that!), It took my husband being laid off to finally convince him that it was an unnecessary expense (he loves his NASCAR and all the sports stuff). Anywhoo we finally stopped DirecTv (boy did they ever make some sweet deals towards the end) and I am enjoying Netflix very much. Oh, and we never saw Lost when it was on TV, it streams, we are pleased.

We watch our streaming through our LG bluray player, very functional.:thumbsup2

Not all movies stream, so we do have to wait for some movies to come in the mail. And the streaming is not quite as sweet a picture as the disc, but good enough!
