Ok, I'm really looking for some consolation here: our current FW plans are for May of next year. Have ressies for the 1st-10th. We are tenters so "time of year" is vital in regards to heat, and all I'd read made May seem perfect - plus it's after the March/April school breaks so likely less crowded.
But DH recently informs me that due to some silly vacation-time rules at his work, he may have to take his 2 weeks AFTER July. When all is factored in, this means we would have to push our trip back to November...Aargh! Waiting 13 months seems bad enough...making it longer is unbearable!! But, if that's when he can go, there's not much we can do about it.
So, for all of you who have been there in November (early Nov., as in the first 2 weeks), what is it like?? It'll be after MNSSHP but well before Thanksgiving...It's also value season so would be less expensive than May...
I'm just so bummed at having to wait until then! :sad2:
Someone please tell me that it'll be great!!

Don't worry. We have gone early Nov. for umpteen years and it is just fine.

John

We were there for Thanksgiving 2001. It was very busy around the holiday, but the Tuesday after Thanksgiving really thinned out and the parks were awesome. The week before Thanksgiving was very busy. It reminded me of Easter crowds.

Go for it! We love the end of October and early November. Great camping weather and low crowds.

Yeah ive been going in October(only 198 days left for my weeklong trip!!!) for a few years now and love it its not to hot but still shorts weather (compared to the fact that back home id be digging out my winter clothes) and its not very crowded this year im going camping at FW for the first time and cant wait itll be the perfect weather ( i sleep like a baby if im freezing cold i cant figure out why but hey no biggie)

I say go in November youll have a blast... and if you are a abc soap fan you can go for super soap weekend hehee

We've been at FW the last two Novembers (for the week that's around 11/7-14). Both times there was a day or two with rain (not constant), highs were in the 70's or low 80s and lows were in the 50s or 60s. I thought the weather was very pleasant for camping - more so than in May - and the crowds are lighter in early November as well.

MAY IS HOT!!!! November is less crowded and cooler.

We have AP. From March to September we only make day trips to WDW because of crowds & heat. We do all of our FW trips from October to February when its is cooler and crowds are low. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. And with the money you save, you can treat the family to a meal at Trail's End. Yummy!

:cloud9: I would have to choose November over May any time to stay at WDW.
We ( DW & I) were there week after Thanksgiving Day. 2 nights at AKL ,5 at YC. The weather was very nice. The crowds were minimal. And we'll be back there in 28 days!!!!!!! I cant wait. Mickey! here we come!!! :cheer2:

Ok, you've all made me feel much better - thank you!! I really wouldn't want to deal with real Florida heat while camping, especially at night. And hey, by waiting until then we may even have made our move to KY by then, so will have a much shorter drive!!!

It just stinks having to wait that long, since leaving tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough! :earboy2:
