I am in, we closed on May 16th with a 135 points @ AKV and are looking to expand in the next year with 20-50 more points.
I am so glad this came up with a smaller group than the huge DVC forum.
Congrats and welcome home. We really liked AKL. Now, the fun begins - planning the next 5 years worth of vacations. Sure, the point charts may change and your travel plans may change, but you can still have fun planning. It keeps me going.
Yeah we are already infor two this year and at least one next year. And as I type we are talking a second vacation next year.

Congrats!! or should I say, "Welcome Home!"
No matter how many points you have, you'll always want more. I found myself thinking a day or so ago that if I could just manage to squirrel away a couple hundred dollars each month for the next few years, I could use it to get us some more points!! maybe once the credit card debt is paid off I can actually put that plan into action... darn priorities!!![]()

This is so true. In the beginning, you will plan some great stuff with your 135 pts, then after a few trips you will want to step up & do other things you haven't done. We decided to try a 2BR for our family of 4... now my kids don't think they can live without their own BR. Then I tried AKL concierge... now my wife is hooked.
You will have so much fun you will HAVE to have more points![]()
For those of you who have bought DVC resale, how much negotiating did you do?
My family and I are in! Everything became final earlier this month. We bought in SSR and are taking our first trip as DVCers this fall!!

I keep fighting the urge to book another Disney vacation. Is there a pill or something for this condition or do I just keep up the cycle of going to Disney.
I want to expand my point ownership so I can go again... I thnik my DW may kill me if I do that. Who needs a new Kitchen over haul when we can go to Disney instead.

The only cure is another Disney vacation.
Yeah I think I may try again while we are in disney this November. She tends to be on a Disney rocks kick for a while after vacation. So may be we can do the Kitchen and still up our points.
Anyone going to wait for the new poly dvc to add points. want to be closer to OHANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Or are you buying in at the Grand Floridian dvc what would be the best
Sounds like I am in same boat as AirGoofy
As much as I would love to own at GF or Poly, I would assume the cost on those points is going to be off the charts. Plus, they will both be small and I am guessing the points needed to book there will be along the line of GCV ... very high.
I know I will probably stay there at some time (or maybe wait a few years until some points show up on the resale market), but buying there will probably not be in the cards... or more accurately, not in the bank account![]()
