Talk about Pixie Dust

We were the family of the day at the Contemporary. We checked in on Sunday about 2:00. My dd (3) had to go to the washroom so my dh took her while I checked us in. I nicely asked if there were any upgrades available and the women said she would check in a minute. When my dd & dh came back I noticed that there were a couple of employees standing behind the counter. All of a sudden the women said we were chosen as the family of the day. My dd was given stickers, coloring pages and balloons (they were handed to us by cm clapping and cheering behind us. We were given a magical memories certificate and an upgrade to a tower room with a mk view. Our name was on the marquee too.

The cm told us that they pick a family each day as the family of the day. The picked us as we were walking in the door, so she knew when I asked about an upgrade that I was already getting it.

Windy City Heather, congratulations. When we were visiting the CR last month, we saw the marquee with the name of that day's family on it. I thought that was a wonderful idea on the resort's part -- to do something extra special for at least one family each day. I am so happy to hear that the Pixie Dust was bestowed upon your family. I hope you took a photo of the marquee to remember it by.
