I work at the Disney Store and it's that time of year we have alot of guests come in to buy park tickets.
Most buy anywhere from 2 days to 3 months in advance. A few will be buying tickets as they are leaving town but planned and booked their trip months in advance.
While working yesterday I had a dad with his 2 boys come in to buy park passes. Making small talk I asked when his trip was....
He said he decided on the spur of the moment the night before to go to WDW today and they had stopped off to buy the passes on the way out of town. I said have you got someplace to stay...he had booked a room online as soon as he had decided to go. He said he likes to do things on the spur of the moment. I guess so! Thankfully he said he'd been to WDW 27 times...so at least he's not going clueless!! :earboy2:

So how last minute have you done a trip to WDW??

For us it would be 48 hours. Well we had a trip planned and on a Thursday night we decided to go that Saturday. It was 3 weeks earlier than we had booked and planned. DH and I just couldn't stand the wait any longer.

Then this past fall we did one with 31 days. We were camping reminiscing (sp?) about WDW. We decided then and there to go at the end of the month. I was on the cell phone making arrangements in the middle of nowhere.
