Talia's amazing magical MAW trip in August 2013!!

So miss Talia got a big box from MAW yesterday. I think we waited too long to open it though (I wanted to be there so I made them wait till I got home from work), she was just not interested! In fact, she fell asleep as soon as we finished. But it was a cool package, she got a big blue MAW beach towel, a handmade strawberry shortcake blanket, a nice MAW backpack containing our buttons, bracelets, luggage tags, a cd of disney songs, t-shirt, a folder with all our wish info and expense check. We are just about ready! We were going to have a few friends and neighbors say goodbye to her at the limo, but it's a 4:30 am pick up, no one should see me at that hour. Actually, a couple of the retirees around us probably will be up anyway. So the excitement moves on, less than two weeks now! I'll work on our other shirts more tomorrow, maybe finishing them!

I'm glad I found your trip report and can't wait to read more about the adventures of your awesome family!!!

We loved our trip and I'm sure you will too. I also wondered what I would do once the Make A Wish trip was over as planning it had become such a huge part of my life. I found that I enjoyed coming back here and helping other families plan their special trip and writing our trip report to help with missing our trip.

Besides the wish trip we also have in common having an older son and a young daughter. It is such a special relationship!! Happy graduation to your son!!

I can't wait to see what the Mickey Mail will be. How exciting!!

It is all sooo exciting. Work days are sooo long now too, LOL. I still need to do soo many things to prepare, and so few hours to use! It will all be worth it though!

Only two nights left and we are off to Talia's Wish trip!! The whole house is excited. Shirts are finally done. Not fantastic, but they will do. Made "Mommy, Daddy, Brother" shirts to match! So much fun ahead!






Itinerary...well...I'm keeping things as open and adaptable as I can allow.
day 1: fly, land, dinner and princess/pirate party (orientation for me)
day 2: IOA in the AM, possibly back to gktw for the afternoon, PM is either sea world or universal
day 3: Universal and/or IOA in the AM, Sea world if we didn't do it the night before, or more Universal/IOA in the PM
day 4:epcot, dinner at grand floridian cafe
day 5: hollywood studios, dinner at the whispering canyon
day 6: Magic Kingdom, dinner wherever (days 4,5,6 may involve some park hopping)
day 7: gktw or cocoa beach, then fly home that night.

Again, it's all about being flexable, we might finish earlier than planned and do more gktw stuff at night, or every afternoon could be there (heat sensitivity) who knows! Just some general guidlines is all I'm scheduling. Keeping track of feeding and medtimes is enough! . Well, wish us luck, it should be amazing!

Thanks! Yes, fontspace.com had pretty much everything for fonts. We used that and Corel draw, and Google image search. I used scrap booking scissors to cut out most of them, but that's where things got rough, and figuring out how hot and how long to iron the transfer paper took a couple tries as well. So plenty of flaws, but I am OK with it, lol.
