Tale of the Lion King???

We didn't sit down to watch it, we just saw it in passing, it didn't look that interesting (or at least interesting enough to sit down to watch it).

We saw it last Saturday. We arrived about 5 minutes before the start of the 2:50 showing and the area was pretty full of people. My 8yo daughter was able to go to the front section and get a seat on the floor. It was basically a 15 minute version of the musical. She enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed it. Considering that it is a temporary show I though that the overall quality was quite high. If you enjoy live entertainment in general and musical theater specifically I'd recommend it.

I liked it as well. It's an abridged version of the movie, but it is entertaining & the performers are great. Plus I'm always onboard for any new additions to the park. The show runs about 20 minutes, so it's not a huge time commitment & a nice break if you grab a snack or something to eat.

We saw the 8:20 PM show on 6/16 on our way to Goofy's Sky School. It wasn't crowded and we stood and watched for about 15 minutes and then needed to get on our way. Definitely a talented group of performers. I agree, that if you enjoy live entertainment and musical theater, it's well done.

So... where exactly is this performed? It says the Palisades Stage... is that back in the seating area for Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta's seating area is?? Kind of where they do The Three Caballeros meet and greet during the holidays? I tried looking at their pushpin for the location on the map but it kind of just places down right where World of Color is...

Also... is it really worth going out of our way to catch this show??

It's the Wold of Color seating area, there's a stage setup there where they perform the show.

As others have said, it's basically a condensed re-telling of the Lion King movie/musical. When we were there, it was pretty popular, but there is a fair amount of viewing area. They do move a bunch benches into the lower area for guests to sit, but a lot people either sit on the steps or lean on the railings. You can see TSMM and Screamin' in the background of the photo (they're across the water). One of the funniest things to me was that they only had two hyenas and yet there were 20+ performers in the cast! I would say it's something fun to see once, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time waiting for it.

I watched part of it last week. The performers are great and the music is great. The problem is it’s in full sun and it was pretty hot that day. I don’t see why they are doing this in summer in an area with no shade. :confused3
