Taking your own stroller on the buses?

Would also like to thank the ones who move the stroller away from the door and out of the path of disembarking passengers before they try to unfold it and put the child into it.

I think maybe I've been lucky, but all the folks that have strollers seem to do this at least when I was on the bus.

I've been taking a stroller every trip since 2003. Its great having it at the airport (if you are flying) and at the resort (especially the larger ones). DD, now 8 still uses it if she is pooped, and DS, 2 on our nxt trip, uses it on and off... even with that we find it useful (to carry water and maps and diapers, etc.).

That said... without question there will be at least one bus trip durring your stay when the stroller is the biggest pain in the butt. Most likely at night after the fireworks, when the busses are full and the kids are asleep in their strollers and you have six bags of stuff to drag onto the bus.

We will still bring ours this summer.

With regards to the "cheap" umbrella strollers... I bought one (Jeep) several years ago just for the trip... darn foot rest strap broke half way through the trip. It was uncomforatable to push and... well... we bring our Peg Perego now.

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

They don't all do it.

Oh I know, maybe my post should have been lucky and THANKFUL all of the folks on the buses I've been on have been very 'professional' with their strollers.
