Taking Wine Carafe into Dinning

I will bet my suite as well, there is nothing classless or tacky with Scuba.....

- David :grouphug:

Golly, why the harshness...the OP asked if it was permisable, not if it was tacky........who cares. When I am on vacation, I could care less if someone is breaking etiquette by bringing in a carafe, whos etiquette anyways? If DCL has made the corking fee provsion, then obviously they dont care either. I cant believe so many posters are bothered by the fact that the OP even questioned??? Scuba, take you carafe, have a great time, and dont sweat it. Bottom line, if DCL is okay with it, than then that is all that matters. :-)

Yes, my Waterford crystal carafe is packed.

Right beside my Dom Perion and Grey Poupon!

Packed and ready to go! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Scuba -

I would bring a glass of wine to dinner, but not a decanter. Unless you also bring the bottle of wine with you and have the server open the bottle for you, then pour it in the decanter for you. That way, you probably wouldn't have to worry about annoying the server (after all, they are in charge of your food!!!)

Disney's rules are pretty clear.....if you didn't buy it on the ship, you pay a corkage fee if you bring it into the dining room. And before your boarded you signed a contract agreeing to abide by Disney's rules.
And with the KTTW card, it is very easy to check what you bought on board and what your BROUGHT on board.
So I say, take any wine you want into the dining room, just be prepared to pay a corkage fee.
Wine has been a hobby of ours for over 20 years. We are not experts, we just like to try new and different things to find what we like. We found wines on the Disney wine list that we had never had before......and that added to the adventure. Besides, I'm too lazy to carry bottles cross country on a plane. I was on VACATION. :cool1:

As for Red Wines needing to breath........SOME now put that in the category of "old wives tale".........same as the thought that good wines don't have twist tops. Ah, but that debate is for a wine board, not a cruise forum :flower1:

Well, I guess I will have to add my suite to the mix to up the ante!

Ok it's only a Cat 7, but I'm adding my room to the mix too!

I'll raise you a suite!

DGF owns a winery and I am shipping a case or two for our Eastern. Shoot, I might take a glass, a bottle, a carafe and a STRAW! Have some fun y'all! :jumping1:

I've met Mr. Scuba and his family. There isn't a lick of tackiness in him.

I'll bet my parent's cat 6. room he'll bring the right decanter. :)

Along with my suite, I raise you $1 to go toward the corkage fee!

Sure I'm in. I'll add my suite to the mix.

TVGUY, "Disney's rules are pretty clear.....if you didn't buy it on the ship, you pay a corkage fee if you bring it into the dining room. "

You don't happen to have the exact rule in print? No spin zone here.
What are the "its" you are refering to in your qoute?

Arrrrhhh pirate:
A good bottle of Boone's Farm ,Ripple or mad dog will do just fine thanks!
