Taking videos.

I think a lot of people on these boards have the same opinion. It's all of the other guests that don't though.

We are planning a trip back to Disney this year (the first time in a really long time). I've already decided that I'm going to forsake my normal shoot / record everything that I usually do, and instead just enjoy the time with my family, and whatever pictures / videos I do take will pretty much be all family shots.

I had this realization long ago.

Back when I first expressed this idea though, well, the reaction was crazy defensive!

I think the newness of being able to record everything is finally giving way to some of the drawbacks.

No desire to record anything at WDW, We take some pics and the rest is the best kind of memories. The ones no one can take from you.

I used to take video of my favorite bits, until I realized once that 50% of what I was videoing was other people videoing the show. :/ iPads are the worst but phones suck too - the brightness of the screens is distracting to me. I'll video fun parts of a daytime parade or something, but I won't do fireworks again because of the screen light. I know people won't stop, but I know the quality video I'll go home with isn't something I'm going to be happy with. On my last trip I videoed crazy lightning we had during the fireworks though! Haha.

When I saw Endgame (a movie is a little different from someone taking flash pictures through the entirety of Pirates, but still) the man sitting one seat over from me had his phone on full brightness, face up on his lap. It was driving me CRAZY. He kept texting someone every few minutes. About 40 minutes after the movie started his wife wandered into the theater carrying a ton of snacks. Then he waved his (FULL BRIGHTNESS) phone over his head so she could see where he was sitting, and when he sat down he finally turned his phone off. Not cool, dude, not cool.
