Taking trash bags to trash room

If we are in the room for a while I will put the dirty diaper without a bag infront of a neighbors door, knock and run. It is so funny.

:rotfl2:

You should try lighting it on fire some time, it's twice as funny!

This is one of the worst thing I see pople do at dvc resorts. I hate when the bag is in the hall I one saw a bag then next time I passed ther were two I knocked on the dooor and asked if thay nead help finding the trash room. Just got a dum look. so next time I walked pas I just knocked on the dooor and walk on hope that got them just as mad.

We have thought of writing a note to slip under the door when we have seen the bags of trash, and towels left outside the doors.

I think we just need to go ahead and print some up with a cute DVC "Be a Good Neighbor" logo and take them with us next time. Just like those cute mousekeeping envelopes everyone does.

It took me a trip or two to find the darn trash and recycle room . They need to do something about the bins .

One trash barrel , fine , put the trash in there. Recycling though was not set up so conveniently . They had one for plastic , one for newspapers and one for aluminum ( soda cans ) and they all had covers with small openings on them . I need bigger openings to put the gallon jugs into , I had to leave them on the floor, and a bin for cardboard ! I couldn't believe there wasn't someplace to put cardboard!!!!!

I also hate trash and room service items left out in the hallway , no matter who put them there!

While staying at BWV this summer my husband and I remarked on how nice it was that people aren't putting their trash bags in the hallway. I too think the trash at SSR may be from newbies who aren't aware of the system.

I am not sure exactly where they are listed, but I know in the covenants of DVC that I was reading for BWV, it stated that it is against the rules for ANYONE (I suppose mousekeeping included) to leave trash in common areas of the resort. Maybe some people never saw this. It must also be against fire code, donchathink?

I hate to see this sort of inconsiderate behavior but it happens more and more. You just can't account for some people-if the trash/dirty towels are bothering them in the room what makes them think that everyone elese would be happy to look at it?
I like the "be a good neighbor idea.":thumbsup2 I would be happy to leave a note like that for someone leaving trash outside all day. I am sure that ya'lls pre-printed note would be much kinder than one I would probably write:rolleyes1 Mine would probably include things about being raising in a barn, or what would your Momma think of this behavior?

Just passed FROR @ BWV:cool1:

People who do this really tick me off as well.

If you want to live like a slob, do it in the confines of your own room.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I've seen at BWV as well!! Only stayed there once so far, nice resort but slobs are not selective as to where they stay. Have neighbors that every week put plastic trash bags out for collection and every week crows rip them up so trash can blow all over. Some folks just don't get it...

I have seen it occasionally, but not consistently.
I am surprised no one has posted that they did it and didn't realize there was a recycling room. If it isn't us doing it, then who? Is it renters and people who trade in and don't know or owners who don't care?
Housekeeping cleans the rooms for people who book through Disney, right? They don't leave the trash in the hall and come back by to pick it all up at once, do they? I believe they take it straight away.
I like the idea of letting the offenders know that they need to walk their own trash to the recycling room, and love the idea of dealing with it ourselves as long as it is in a polite way.
But would the resort welcome our actions? I think if we complained to the front desk, they would just arrange to have it picked up, which would only reinforce the action for the next day.
The reminder notes sounds like a great compromise, as they don't promote confrontation, but they inform people who may not know the rules.

Oh yes yes yes at HHI we always took our trash to the trash room it is tacky and smelley to just leave it out side the door all day!!
