Everyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE control freak. I like everything to match. Is that too much to ask? I dress my boys the same each and EVERYDAY. So far they havent complained, so I feel I can get away with it till they do. Even if I dont lay it out my boys come down stairs matching. We are not sure who decides what they are going to where. To make it easier I usually have it laid out already.
Heres some proof of my craziness:
Poor DD being the only girl doesnt have to match. But she does have a rather large stash of hair bows and has been known to have a frightening amount of Gymboree. God love Gymboree, they are designed for controlling moms like me. If you need a coordinating outfit or accessory theyve got it.
Well this brings me to luggage. It has got to match!! Or at least the boys have to match. Prior to this trip all the kids had a black Embark (from Target) rolling suitcase. They were really cheap. The suitcases had been fine for the last three years because we never checked them. Well for some reason I decided to check one of them on a trip to Las Vegas. Thats all it took, the one we checked came back to us with one of the wheels broke. Now it doesnt stand upright anymore. My fault, I should have never checked the cheapo bag.
This past weekend after looking at ROSS, TJMAXX, and online I settled on some blue Rockland carryon rolling suitcases.
If it was up to me all three kiddos would have the same bag. When things match, I feel like things look less cluttered. Laugh if you want but thats just how I am. I shouldnt have brought DH and DD. DH found DD a bright pink Samsonite hard shell carryon. He put it down for DD to try out. Then he asked her opinion!! Um shes two so you can guess what we came home with.
I tried to show her a different one. She wanted nothing to do with it. (I see many fights over stuff while shopping in our future.) She wanted the HOT pink one. That is her favorite color. She has DH so tightly wrapped around her little finger. He would have never asked the boys opinion. Good thing we only have one girl. I would lose all control.
I did manage to get a larger bag to check that matched the boys. I am now trying to justify getting DH a matching one too. Now I just have to find a bag for me. I know I have issues. But my issues and I are going to Disney!!!!
