after surveying these boards on and off for about a year, my wife and i are finally taking the plunge. We made first contact today and are in the process of buying 400 points at VWL with a December use year. We plan to go to WDW yearly in Dec and/or May, so am i right in thinking a Dec use year would be good? We were also offered March or October.
We are taking advantage of MB with 200 points and will still get the old program of $10 per point. I know there have been many grumblings about MB but it sure helps us to get to the 20% down so we can get the lower interest rate. We thought about only buying 300 now and adding another 100 later, but we LOVE wilderness lodge and with VWL selling so fast and with prices rising soon, we decided to just go with the 400 right up front...gives us an excuse to go twice a year
in all seriousness, i want to thank everyone on this board. You are all SO SO helpful. There is just so much great information here, and i would not have been able to make any educated decisions without your help. There should be a link to this DIS board from the official DVC site!
