Is anyone taking the LSAT (Law School entrance) next Saturday - Feb 7? Is so, are you doing anything to prepare?

If anybody has taken it in the past, do you have any insight or tips that may help?

I will be taking it at the University of Southern Mississippi. This is my first time. Hopefully, I will do OK!!

I never took the LSAT, but I have taken the MCAT.

I don't know if you took a prep course, but I took the Princeton Review. Seemed to help.

Other than that, just wanted to say good luck with your test!

Been a while since I took those types of tests but I always went to a book store and got a review type of guide. I don't think that you can "study" per se for these things but you can familiarize yourself with the types of questions, the style of the exam etc. I think it does save you time on the day of the exam if you know what to expect.

I took the LSAT (okay, so it was in 1984!) and only used the review guide. If you are able to dedicate a good chunk of time doing the practice tests this week you will be fine.

DS's girlfriend took the LSAT in Dec.
She took the prep coarse and through that her group took several pre-tests and study groups.

Good luck.

Haven't taken the LSAT, but I went to USM! :teeth:

I bought some books that REALLY helped me with the GRE, mainly because they taught me how to "read the writer's mind." The practice tests were also a must so I could get the timing right on the different sections.

I never had a problem finishing standardized tests, but I was worried more about the GRE & VCAT. After using the GRE books, I wished I would have studied for the SAT & ACT; I had never even considered it.

Is there a logic problem section on the LSAT? I kicked butt on that part of the GRE because I've been working logic problems in puzzle books since I was a kid. They always have charts in the puzzle books, but they weren't supplied on the GRE. If I didn't know how to make the charts, I would have been lost (or I could have wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to make the charts if I had never done it before). At least that's how I remember it from 8 years ago.
