Another teacher's aide who pulls kids out, and myself 
! Life is just too short! Have fun. We now send a note in the day that the kids are being dismissed (to catch the plane) stating that they will be out until whenever, and they will make up any work that they need to make up at that time. We don't ask for work anymore because DD's third grade teacher gave her so much, we had to stay in the hotel for three mornings to finish it!
My principal (boss) made a few comments the first time I did this, but said nothing this year as HE took two days off before both Feb. and Apr. vacation to go to WDW!!!!!!
