Taking Payment in UK for Rental Points

I may need to rent out 225 points this year as they might go to waste otherwise.

Does anyone know the best way to take payment to ensure low fees and a good exchange rate?

I would uggest paypal- this is the way i have done it before.

I would be interested in renting approx 170 points for a studio anywhere from 16th August for 10 nights.

Could arrange payment via paypal or direct bank transfer if you are going to rent.

I rented out 68 points at the start of this year to someone in the US they paid by paypal, transaction went fine only thing that shocked me was the amount Paypal charged for the priviledge, it was about $30 in charges and exchange fees.

Does anyone know the best way to take payment to ensure low fees and a good exchange rate?

The easiest way is to rent to a UK Disboard member - then you can simply;
(a) agree the rental amount (typically $11 a point);
(b) agree the exchange rate on a particular day (you would both benefit from just using the bank rate) to convert a to £;
(c) have it paid direct to your bank account - no fees.

I have rented points to both US and UK members in the last year.....5 rentals altogether.

The US members paid using Papal.......Paypal didn't charge much at all, though a lot was lost in the exchange of currency. The UK member, sent me a cheque for the deposit and paid the balance with Paypal.

All transactions went well, didn't cost the earth to execute and everyone concerned was happy.
