Hi everyone!

We recently wrapped up our Disney Cruise Line Wedding and Honeymoon at Disneyland and we are, naturally, already starting to plan our next trip! A friend of ours recently expressed an interest in going to Disney, and at 24, he has never been. We have decided on Disney World versus DLR, just because we want him to have gone once to appreciate all of the history when we eventually go to DLR. I guess I'm just looking for general advice for 3 twenty somethings and what are must sees for a 24 year olds first visit ever. Where should we stay (Looking at Moderate Resorts but considering Art of Animation as well). What restaurants should we definitely not miss? We plan to ride just about everything, so no trouble there. If we want to spend one day at each park, which order would you suggest. Obviously you can tell by my signature this isn't my first rodeo by any means but it's been a LONG time since my first visit and obviously I've never done a first visit as an adult, so I'd love to hear some prospectives from anyone, but especially if you went as a first timer as an adult- what blew you away the most?

EDIT: Also what things in general do you think we must do for him/ show him on his first visit? Obviously a first visit button. And our visit is probably going to have his birthday falling over one of the days, so birthday fun is appreciated as well!

The first time I went, my future wife and i were about 26 or 27 so a little older but not that much.
There's a lot of night life options at Disney Springs and some of the resorts that you may enjoy. Also Disney doesn't have waterparks in CA so you may want to try one of those. Like anyone else, you should study the rides and attractions in the parks so you know ahead of time what you want to do and what may not hold any interest to you.

The meals are another story. Some people like to plan out every meal way in advance and some are more spontaneous. Younger people may be a little more spontaneous but you may want to reserve your Epcot dinner and maybe something special you see.

Now you mention one day at each park. The MK and EP both are larger parks than the other 2 with more attractions and require more time. The other 2 have a lesser number of attractions, especially DHS with the closures now. The one park a day plan can be done but plan on your MK and EP days to be longer days and your other 2 days to be shorter with maybe some time for some nightlife or a trip to Disney Springs would be better on those days especially the DHS day.

Have fun planning your fastpasses and dinner reservations if you're into that. As far as dining choices, they are very personal. Talk to 10 different people and you'll get way too many opinions. I will say that Epcot has some unique places to eat in the World Showcase not typically found in theme parks and that disney springs also has some different options. You'll never get to try them all so just pick a few that sound interesting to you and your group. Have fun.

.

Good point about Disney Springs. He'd definitely love the experience the nightlife and I hadn't given it much thought. The waterparks too! He'd probably love them! Thanks for your great advice!

Good advice from previous posters . All I can add is having a basic plan in place. If you fall behind don't stress out , don't stress , just catch it another time. Make sure to us your Fast Pass option. Hope you have a great time.

My fiancé and I are a bit older (27 and 34), but the only real solid plan we like to have is dining! Disney has lots of fun immersive places to eat (Be Our Guest, 50's Prime Time, etc) and for us that's a big part of the vacation.

The boardwalk has some great nightlife as does the resorts and Disney Springs. There are so many options!
