Congrats on your weight loss! That is so awesome. How did you lose the 45lbs? Any tips? I need to lose about 40, so I'm always looking for advice and inspiration from others. Loved the pics and your report.
Honestly, the best advice I can give is to watch your calories and get plenty of exercise. I didn't do a special diet per say; I just cut out soda and fast food, cut down on how much junk food I had and portion sizes, and joined my local gym. And of course, the 'Biggest Loser' thread here really helped.
Most everyone knows my love of Belle and all things Beauty and the Beast.
But my second favorite Disney character has always been Peter Pan. It was one of the first Disney movies I ever watched, the one that made me wish I could fly, and my first animated crush. So needless to say, he's one of my favorite face characters.
(I had to tell you that to tell you this...)
After splitting up with Dmom and Ddad and riding HM and POTC for a second time, (the first stopping 4 times mid-ride and the second completely soaking my rear end for some strange reason) by that point I was ready for a break so I could work on my TR, so I ended up sitting on a planter/bench between Adventureland and Cinderella's Castle. While I was there, I had noticed that several teenage girls had gathered around a Photopass photographer and quickly found out that they were waiting for Peter Pan.
Now I'm not one for getting my picture taken with face characters anymore, but then again, I was curious to see him so I decided to wait and see what happened. I didn't have to wait long. Within a few moments, a flash of green came sneaking past me and proceeded to prank the photographer by flipping the photographer's hat in front of his face. *cue giggling fangirls* And he kept his antics up the entire time he was there; taking time with each guest to talk with them and was incredibly funny. So much so that I actually tried to get in the line...only to be told that he had to leave for the last show at the castle and wouldn't be coming back anymore that day. Which I was more than a little disappointed about, but I decided that I would just hang around anyway and took my seat back on the planter. After all, he amused me to no end and I REALLY needed to work on the TR.
Not to mention that he was unbelievably cute!
I can understand why the line for him was mainly teenage girls...
So I worked on writing down notes for the TR in my notebook while 'Peter' chatted with guests and did pics, every once in a while catching my eye as I wrote. I guess he caught me looking too many times because after he finished talking to the last guest, he runs up to the planter, hops on the seat next to me, smiles this luminescent smile and asked what I was writing. I swear, he was 6 inches from my face and even cuter up close!! So I think my reaction was no different from any other girl who adores Peter Pan; I turned three shades of pink and giggled like a schoolgirl...
So basically, he was all...
while I was all...
(I think that's a pretty accurate description. )
But wanting to play along, I managed to choke out that I was writing a story, to which he smiled wider and asked if he was in it. So I smiled back and said that he wasn't yet, but that he will be. By that time he really had to go, but not before making me promise that I would let him read it to which I gladly did.
After that, he took off while I commenced squealing like the total fangirl that I was and texting my friends to tell them that I just had an up-close encounter with Peter Pan while they were ready to kick me for not getting a pic with him.
Granted, I've 'grown up' several years ago, but for a brief moment, I was a little girl again who was ready to fly off to Neverland and I'll never forget that. So thank you Peter Pan.
By the way Peter, I still owe you a story...
Oh and for those who are curious as to what he actually looked like, here's a pic.
